I would sell Yamamoto, buy Donitz with the sell, then, if Guderian has level 3 rumor, get Rommel. If he does not: get level 3 rumor.

If you can't get Rommel full discount, try getting Leeb or a new tank gen and upgrade rumour. You could get even Messe, he'll be useful with his rumour.

Kliment Jefremovitš Vorošilov i got Rommel 20% discount. Guderian was my only surviving general with 1/4 health in the 20% discount. I managed to kill Auchinleck and Guderian captured the city and finally beat 20%. Next is 40% discount which is hard...

Yeah, Rommel's 40 % is really hard and that's why I wouldn't replace Yamamoto but rather upgrade rumor which is really useful in the discount mission.

journeykeen I'm not sure if i should sell Yamamoto and get Donitz.... I already have level 2 on all of his skills (even rumor) It certainly is not the most important thing, but Yamamoto is a hybrid in a game where hybrids are useless. His AF abilities are the same as Arnold, yet Arnold is 1,000 medals cheaper. And naval abilities are subpar; he can have the most important skills, explosives, rumor, and fleet leader, but only has 5 naval stars and cannot get Wolfpack/depot ship (neither of which are too critical, besides maybe invasions). So, buying Yamamoto either gets you an overpriced AF general, or a worse Donitz when they are the same price.

(bruh Nimitz (navy-air) is very useful even though hes a hybrid... same with other OP gens like Konev (Infantry-Artillery)..... Guderian (marching-tank)...... Manstein (marching-tank)..... and most hybrids are useless (i don't think Yamamoto's useless -_-)

Manstein (marching-tank)..... and most hybrids are useless (i don't think Yamamoto's useless -_-) I strongly disagree with journeykeen on this one. For a speedrunner like him, or someone who is very invested in the game, yes, hybrids such. But for most casual players, I think hybrids can be excellent tools if one uses them well. People with extra Marching stars don't count as hybrids, but I gave my Konev IL and Rumor, and my MacArthur is invaluable as a Hybrid. He has PF and Rumor, and he is my Reserve gen for anything. Hybrids, as stoic said, are poor man's gens, and as someone who despises conquests, It is my modus operandi. For Example, I literally bought Kesselrinf as my main air, because he can serve as an infantry as well. I gave him Raider, and he is amazing. I am also definitely not recommending doing this, so don't get any ideas. In the short run, hybrids saved my butt. However, in the long run, I am probably better off with getting specialized generals, because as useful as hybrids are, they aren't good. The national society of Hybrids (Founded by Kutuzov, MacArthur, and GOG1 Montgomery) has the motto of, "Useful, not good." So you either invest yourself in hybrids, or you go for specialized gens. With the exception of Guderian (even in one playthrough I did not use him), I chose the former. Because you are a newer player, I strongly suggest the latter. The former is primarily for good players who dislike conquests/grinding.

Gerd von Rundstedt alright. I am currently on WTO and NATO mission 3 (missile crisis and medditerranean conqueror). I am planning on maxing Guderian, Konev and Yamamoto's skills. ALso i am trying to complete every hard mission in WW2 europe and i have completed all of the hard missions except for Axis 11.
