Even if you run the game clock in a couple of days 24/7, it's a bad idea.
Access to 1975 doesn't mean anything long as your tech levels are so low (even if you blew your wallet on medals and trade them for resources, you would still need HQ levels to unlock techs). I doubt you will go far in the 1975 by spending 60 dollars on three fancy generals, imho

1975 is the hardest even with max tec. Mostly with wonders it was easy to upgrade.
