Ohh..didnt realize we could get 5 abilities not just 4.Yamamoto and Yamashita both have 5 abilities, but Yamamoto has supply (the health regen ability?) so thats got to be one of the better skills.

Finally got Yamamoto, very happy with the flexibilty he offers,he can cover the navy role well,he absolutly rocks on aircraft carriers but I also often times use him as an artillery general and does pretty good under that role too, damage not too bad because 3 stars in artillery and his 3 movements makes him super speedy as an artillery leader,he can also call in the strongest air strikes possible (just like Goring) while on land.

I have Donitz as my navy general. Air stars affect the damage that Carriers do? So if I had 5 stars in navy and air, I deal 60 extra damage?

Tried Yamamoto as an artillery leader? He is decent and if you use the more mobile artillery he can move swiftly enough in Europe to be used on calling air strike like Goring does. Not as good as Goring since not a fast motorized infantry but not too bad either.
I like these options because sometimes there is need for navy admirals.
Yes,like Bottlesofvodka said,on aircraft carriers air is used in air strikes, navy used in counterattacks, they don't combine. Donitz is a very good pure naval officer (he might be the best) he tears stuff up really good on a naval vessel but he doesnt do all that great in aircraft carriers because his air is weaker. He could be used as emergency artillery leader though he has great mobility and 2 art. stars.

Yeah,Yamamoto because aircraft carrier is usually the naval vessel of choice.
The optional use of Yamamoto as an artillery leaders is way too cool because on many campaigns there is no need for a navy admiral.
