Don't know if this has been asked before. I'm struggling at continental system of HRE campaign and can probably finish it with only 3-4 stars with 4 generals. Some other levels are also not at 5 stars. I haven't yet bought any general slots and I wonder how many is the minimum to get 5 stars in every campaign level, is it even possible with 4? And what types of general should I put in these slots in order to get 5 stars?

Using four generals is hard but possible. Those four generals must be very strong and you need a lot of good items.

4 is workable for sure, that's how i did it. I feel like 3 is also manageable but i need to try it out first. It won't be easy though

Imperial eagle and coalition are both easy so i try HRE campaign directly, you CAN finish it with 3 generals, going to try Eastern Overlord later

Far east campaign and American campaign done with 3 generals, i won't bother posting up any screenshots of levels in the middle. The "Road to Hell" level was easier than i expect, done in 14 turn for 5 stars. For both of these last levels, as long as you have generals that move fast, you are fine. AI has many more cities than you have in the beginning but if you don't let them trade the economic power into troop, it shouldn't be too hard

I finisced the game with 3 generals without farming, without grindin and with no real money, but finished some campains only with 4 stars.
with 3 generals the last two campains become taff, but well trained and with good (naval) items its possibile.

I used Bennigsen (cav), Collingwood (art/navy) and Ushakov (art/navy).
(I'im too lazy to getting princesses, even if they are strong, but i did non need them)

@ Mountbatten
yes, this was my personal challenge if I can do it.
Bennigsen trained 5 star cavalry, Collingwood 5 star artillery and 5 star navy, Ushakov i could not train because I used only 3 slots.
Actually I try to finish the game with 2 generals, but I think it will not be possible.
