Is this game based around them as much as EW5 was? Because I haven't got any gen with it, and am wondering If I should.

EW5 and EW6:1804 are the two that relies heavily on aura gens, even more so here. Choice gens include Karl and Massena (inf), Murat and Dabrowski (cav) as well as Mahmud II and Alexander I (arty). However, there are a few strong non-aura gens that may take the rare spot or two like Lan, Paget and John. |

Massena, Barclay, and Karl together will provide a + 60 damage boost to anything near them, meaning even a militia unit will have very high output |

Such skills (Cavalry Master, Infantry Master, Artillery Master) are Aura's abilities. Aura is not the name of a specific ability, just a simplified way of naming the aforementioned ones. |

The only useful generals IMO without aura (or as you call it commander skills) are: Washington, Lan, John, Sophia, literally every purple admiral. And you should if you want to make your life easier. |

I was able to complete the entire game with them and the discount generals. Also Nelson. But they are so useful because of the amount of troops that are usually used |

Bagration, Lannes, and John are all very good and I was able to complete the game by just using those generals plus Massena, Karl, and Nelson |
