So i bought a 12 dollar gift card and im wondering what to use it on, i have Sophia, and i want either Berthier or Premium general whats the best buy, considering that i want to upgrade the general too.

That depends on what kind of general you want cavalry, infantry or artillery or naval but in any case, Berthier is not a good idea. For cavalry, i'd recommend Murat or Lassalle, Murat preferred if you are going to get Lan in the end. For infantry general, get Surorov, for artillery general, get Moreau.
Overall, assuming you are aiming at using this general to complete campaign and use it till the end of game, get Murat. Moreau is more powerful but you already have Sophia and should be able to get Isabela easily in conquest. Infantry generals aren't that important and it's not hard to get Dobeln using medals. With Murat, you can destroy forts extremely easily and can compliment him with either of the 3. Lassalle if you have extra cash, Lan if you are good at conquest or Golitsyn if you have neither of the above. There are tons of good cavalry general like Berthier, Lan, Lassalle, Dombrowski, etc but Murat is special in that he's probably the only one who can fight forts so well.

Depends.
Cavalry:
1. Damage holder: Dombrowski(cheaper+Banner)/Radetzky(4 training).
2. Fast runner: Berthier(very expensive, 4500+)/Davout(weaker output, cavalry-artillery).
3. Fort smasher: Murat.
4. Last slot: Lasalle.
Infantry:
1. Non-sl, strong: Suvorov.
2. Infantry-ecomony: Dearborn.
3. Damage holder&economy&support: Washington.
4. Strike into enemy+sl: Lannes.
Artillery:
Moreau
Navy:
1. Navy-artillery: Nelson.
2. Navy only: Jervis.

Okey thanks both of you for the response, i bought berthier before i got response  but i'll buy another itunes card and proberly buy Lasalle and a good art general like Moreau, and try getting Isabella  |

Berthier is a good general although, when comparing him to all the other art generals he's pretty useless, but as a french art general, he's very unique and have some strong ability's that can improve your game and may fit into your strategy type, when regrouping him you may give him more movement so he's good at rushing in rough terrain, although there's alot of better arties out there, Berthier is definetly one of the strong french art generals, he just needs some good old regrouping thats all.

No, its like giving Nelson extreme abilities in something hes not good at. It dosen't make sense. I wish easytech would be a little bit more original when they made Berthier, maybe making him tier 3 because hes the first ever marshal of France, and giving him art abilities, i hate that you need to make hybrid generals, sorry if im too biased.
