I dont think crowd tactics can play a huge difference in overall damage output too
so im not too sure as to what he's doing differently, perhaps using machinist/replacement + rumour support meatshield generals like timoshenko etc to absorb initial damage and then send in the main damage dealers? Just a guess

Just finished the aurora project 1-9 without IAP gens and medals. Used 12 gens, most of them are maj.gen with purple banner except 2 navy gens. It's really hard to finish without IAP medals, though it's not impossible I can only repeat what jimtgaming said, very impressive and I was also at a point where I thought it impossible. Out of curiosity, who were your 12 genarals and which skills did you add? Guderian, Rommel, Roko, Konev, Leeb, Donitz, Nimitz, Arnold, Dowding (all with rumor), Yamashita, McArthur, Rundstedt/Monty depend on the situation. I also maxed infantry medal, lvl 8 navy medal, and lvl 7 air medal. I only focused on the mission objective (red circle)

Just a guess I put max crowd tactic on Arnold, but didn't use it frequently (i remembered only use arnold on the last aurora project, only to bombard enemies' arnold base with nukes. The strategy was always the same, nothing special, just rumor & some explosives, and i just put tank gen with rumor to guard enemy base that i take (red circle), and use infantry gen to destroy the target fortress ibb.co/2hcj6Xtibb.co/PhZdx3Zibb.co/xSTZVkgibb.co/jDntWB7ibb.co/BsXQkxh

Wait there’s going to be an update soon? Also did you put explosives on all of your generals?

Yes, they will have an update soon, hope it'll be something cool I put explosive on Guderian, Konev, Yamashita, Mc Arthur,Dowding (base skill) Donitz, and Nimitz. Exolosive and Rumor will be my first choice of skill after all general's mandatory skills are there. For example, AA and Panzer Leader for tanks, Arty leader and Accuracy for arty gens, and Infantry Leader and Raider for Inf. Gens. Just put the suitable amount of rumor/explosive gens with your play style

Who is going to be your number 14 and 15 (and if not already included who would you pick as third artillery general)?

I think (for now) that war zone is about the amount (and quality) of generals than the strategy, just like frontier. You need more gens to maximize farming the ribbon in Ashes and Doom warzone than in the Aurora Project. The difference is Inf. gen with explosive is less useful here since the number of every warzone is very limited (about 11 or 12 for average) so you can't waste your time destroying huge fortress with only 3 gens at most I'm planning to add the 5th tank gen and 3rd arty gen as #14 and #15, maybe Messe/Vatutin or Zhang ZZ (depends on how fast i can farm the medals) I pick Zhang ZZ over Govorov because you can only add Accuracy on Govorov so then your Critical Ribbon (Red) will be meaningless on him. In Zhang, he can have accuracy and arty leader though he only have 5 stars in arty.

As for artillery, I tested the infantry critical ribbon (lv2) on my Rundstedt who doesn't have Infantry Leader yet and he was able to produce damage output in red numbers that was also significantly above his normal average. So I guess red ribbon would work on Govorov as well, but 30% max probability is still low compared to 90% chance which Zhang could reach.

Well, that's new to me, so basically its like free leader skill for every gen that didn't have leader skill. Thanks for the info.

Has anyone beaten aurora project without these attack again medals? I'm at a point where most of my general's skills are maxed and it doesn't seem like promoting them to marshal will help. You need explosives on every general and to switch your medals for most attacks. I also bought the tank medal when I did it, I think, but that was awhile ago.

Agree, since in frontier the target (red circle) is always enemy city and fortress, not to kill enemy's gens. I put explosive on Guderian, Konev, Yamashita, McArthur, Dowding, Donitz, and Nimitz to crack the target, and let the gens with rumor to guard it.

I need help on Dawn Crisis V level 4 and I have all the best generals at red name plates but no skills upgraded (except a purple Guderian with level 4 explosives). Guderian and Rommel have purple name plates and are Lieutenant Generals. My Tank tech is maxed and my infantry tech attack is maxed and my artillery tech is almost maxed. What’s the strategy, since I am only able to get the two small fortresses destroyed but the large fortresses later on in the game spawns out super tanks that my Guderian can’t one shot.

Save your money, don't spawn new unit, use your money on AF attack. If you have air gen, use all your nukes on the smaller fortress below Kesselring. Focus your unit's attack on fortress below Bock, the big one and smaller one near Guderian. Do it simultaneously while making some nukes from your base. After you get Guderian's base, use the missile to attack the Kesselring's fortress with some nukes that you made earlier. Focus only on the target, ignore Kesselring's base and other enemy unit that not in your way. Goodluck
