The bloodiest battle in the Normandy Landings was Omaha. There were no reinforcements or coordinated reactions for hours: Hitler was stll asleep until around 10. Rommel, commander of Normandy troops, left for Germany the day before, to visit his wife on her birthday. None of the german generals dared order reinforcements without Hitlers permission, and no-one dared wake him up. |

When Immigrants arrived at Ellis Island, their names were βAmericanizedβ by Immigration Officers. The latter actually wrote down the name of the passenger ship. The misconception of immigrant name changes could be most likely traced back to The Godfather Part II.

Why the first stealth airplane, has it's strange polygon-form ?  The F-117_Nighthawk, developed and tested at skunk works / Area 51 Nevada This is the maximum amount of polygons, all US-American military-super-computer together, could calculate at the 1980. The shape is aerodynamical very bad, but a stealth.-plane with a more smooth shape was was simply impossible to calculate (in time) to be 'ΓnvisibleΒ΄. |

The Hundred Day Offensive, despite the latter part, was not actually a coordinated offensive, but various strings of victories where the Entente pushed Germany back until the Armistice. |
