Italy in WW1 was actually in a defence pact with Germany, but when France offered them the opportunity of some German and Austrio-Hungarian land, they defected to the Allies Tannenberg was the first Battle between Russia and Germany in WW1 It was the first major battle, there was a small battle which went badly for the German Cavalry.

It was actually the USA who attacked Japan, not the opposite. Before the attack on Pearl Harbour the American navy sunk a Japanese submarine.

The first submerged attack vehicle was actually created in the Revolutionary War, the only issue was that it had to be towed by a boat.

At some point, Brazil had a better navy that the United States. It was quite humiliating since the US were supposed to be the “protectors of America”.

The first submerged attack vehicle was actually created in the Revolutionary War, the only issue was that it had to be towed by a boat. The first succsessfull submarine the confederate's CSS Hunley sank three times. It's propellor was driven by manpower. Hunley destroyed a warship on her first service in combat, but the crew did not survive fireing their own torpedo - Hunley remaint lost for more than 100 years.
