Alright, some of the stuff that was posted is comical and inaccurate. Let me clarify:
There are 3 forms of promotions that are possible in EFC, 2 of them are allowed and 1 is not.
1)Members are (normally)free to publish any site they own or like in their profile. This falls under personal indirect promotion. The profile space is provided for that purpose and for your convenience so please feel free to list whatever site (not sites that are inappropriate or crazy though!) you want there.
2)Direct advertisements or any kind of recruitment drives is not allowed without permission from the staff.Many/Most internet sites follow this model because the membership usually want this.
3) AAA front page site link referral is the premium advertisement. Just like we have in our front page with several of our members, this usually happens when there is an agreement between admins, the sites are semi-professionally run (meaning no drama/hate speech/pettiness ect..) or if we find a sister site and a staff worthy of being listed, some of these sites took years before they earned that spot, some of them earned the privilege right away.

That above was the EFC rough policy on ads now to respond to specific queries: Thortilla you are absolutely right any kind of toxicity or drama and they get crossed for evah.. well maybe not that long  Basically no drama queens linking, it's just not gonna happen that way. John Marston, "you found out the hard way" ?? What way is that?! Did someone hijack you and took you to black site for waterboarding?! The staff normally just send a friendly note to members in case there is a need for it. Thortilla, "as always the bourgeoisie crushing the consumer! (Jk)" This was funny as hell because literally we have a staff policy of procedures and one of the item is a reminder that we all (the staff and myself) are in [service] to the community. So yeah it's the other way around you are the bourgeois, I am the servant John Marston,People come and go in the forum all the time, we just had an outstanding long time member leave EFC because he got accepted in an Engineering Ivy league school here in the USA, I was so happy for him, what an outstanding achievement from one of our own gamers! We just another long time record setting member [WFC] return to EFC after a couple years of absence from our site. People come and go, there is nothing for me or my staff to fear about this. We are happy if you stay in EFC but we are also just fine if you leave. It makes no difference to the site, hundreds...thousands of people come and go. In fact I encourage you to give yourself a huge favor and leave if you ever feel our site is not right for you. In all honesty happy members are a lot more fun to deal with than unhappy ones Join or leave, we support you either way. |

imkhoa3 you can make any site, you don't need permission or approval from anybody. As far as EFC referrals you are allowed to put that in your profile if you want to. Just dont use our site here to do mass promotion,spam or recruitment drives of any kind.

You know what happened No, I actually don't know know what happened, we have lots of people wanting to advertise or do promotions in EFC. I literally deal with dozens and even hundreds of people in our site.And no I still dont know what the hell you are talking about in that "hard way" expression of yours. If you violated our ad policy I probably sent you a friendly note to ask you to respect our rules, if someone else did that too then the response would have been the same, if they kept doing it after being warned then probably get the boot, there is nothing "hard way" about this. |
