so in gog3 story , i find out there are 2 different timeline : the ally timeline ( i will call this timeline is the original timeline) and the axis timeline ( i will call this timeline is the castle timeline) in eastern front , original timeline happen like normal ww2 . but in the castle timeline , things happen really different .Every things happen in 1941 eastern front axis is really different even through u might say : but imk , the axis missions are same like history , yeah let focus on this later .first in return to stalingrad , manstein say : last time we fail to take stalingard....) and in donets campaign , manstein say : we have completly lost hope of capturing stalingard... this is the thing that link 1941 to 1944 . so about naxis victory and questions about it so we need to start at the first axis winning in 1944 eastern front mission : the fortress plan . in the fortress pla , manstein mentions " operation donetsk " . so what is this operation donetsk . i found a mission might be link to this and that missions is the donets campaign . in this mission manstein say :" destroy them completly when the enemy counter offensive " then in fortress plans , he say : operation donetsk has been sucessful and the enemies counter offensive has been contained it dont know if counter attack = counter offensive ( english isnt my firsg language ) but for me this is what prove donets campaign = operation donetsk and everything happen like 1944 u know mission timeline donets campaign>fortress plan > stalingrad return > leningard > battle of moscow

IMO, the turning points might be these parts at the most vague and unrealistic strategic level:
1. A highly successful Donetsk Campaign which halts the Soviet offensives in the south and a fresh German attack that collapses the entire southern theatre. This culminates in the fall of Stalingrad and arguably, the Caucasus.
2. A successful Operation Citadel (in-game's "Fortress Plan") leads to a victory at Kursk and the surrounding regions. This supposedly crushes the Soviets' main firepower in terms of tanks followed by arty. It also enables a fresh offensive in Ukraine directed at Stalingrad. This is the other critical turning point because this campaign on paper decided Germany's ability to launch strategic offensives on the Eastern Front.
3. Either Zhukov's counterattack had pushed the Germans back somewhat or the Germans have decided to launch a sharp assault to take Leningrad. The Battle of Leningrad depicts this final battle in the North.
4. With unexpected victories, the Germans are once again at the gates of Moscow. At the same time, the German pincer of the Battle of Leningrad is underway. The Soviets have also unexpectedly thrown everything into these final campaigns, instead of a possible retreat past the Urals. Everything will be decided by this final Battle of Moscow.
My guesses align with yours. However, I would also place emphasis on the "Fortress Plan" campaign as well.

In Axis 11, Manstein talks about the partial failure of Operation Barbarossa and proceeds to say that capturing Moscow would conquer all of Europe.

The German (Manstein) wins the Donets Campaign (The Third Battle of Kharkov), and it is remarkably cost efficient bleeding down the Soviet Army.
At the Battle of Kursk the main Soviet Armies led by Vatutin, Rokossovsky, and Konev are destroyed, with Vatutin and Rokossovsky killed.
At the return to Stalingrad the Germans inflict a crushing blow with reinforcements fresh from the Victory in North Africa. Stalingrad is taken, the crucially lend-lease supply is cut off, and the Caucasus oil fields are taken over.
In the battle of Leningrad the second most important city and the third most powerful Soviet army are both shattered and Leningrad falls.
In the Battle of Moscow, the Germans, having turned the tide, destroy the remaining Soviet forces, and capture Moscow, ending the Soviet Union for good.

I think an unrealistic, but possible plan is that after securing North Africa, Rommel can swing north via Middle East, helping with Stalingrad, but highly unrealistic.
Or they could sail there via Bosphorous and Black Sea to Stalingrad, which is much more possible than previous scenario, again after North Africa.
