Guide for the battle of Moscow

Even though I was born 60 years too late for this guide to be useful to our dear hot mustach man, here is the guide he would of always wanted:

Guide for the battle of Moscow


I only used five Generals for this guide: Guderian, Leeb, Yamashita, Rommel and Kesselring. I suggest you take another tank General to make this mission easier for you.



Taking Leningrad



This is the most difficult step of this missions. If you try rushing through it as fast as lighting, you’ll end up with only a couple of infantry and artillery to continue the March to Moscow. The only way you’ll complete this mission without any harm is too keep your troops together during the March to Leningrad.

To prove my point, I did not use ANY reinforcements while doing this guide, and still managed to complete the mission without losing any troops (I think)





You will need to separate your army in two corps.

The green Corp; consisting of 1 infantry, 1 armoured car and 1 field artillery; will stay in the city, preventing it from being captured by the few infantry that will attack it.

The blue Corp; consisting of the rest of the troops, will attack the southern city instead of the northern one, as our dear Bock advised us.





The green Corp will continue defending the city against the few enemies attacking it and then follow The blue Corp until it unites with it against 

The blue Corp will make its way to Vasilevsky, defeat him, capture the airport and then move north.





The green Corp will continue to make it’s way to The blue Corp 

The blue Corp will defeat the northern division and put Kesselring with a jeäger SF in the airport.





The green Corp will continue to make it’s way to The blue Corp

The blue Corp will reassemble near Leningrad to prepare for it’s siege. Use Rommel to kill the X marked infantry.

Now that the X marked infantry is gone, paradrop Kesselring where it was and start chipping down the Katyusha. 





The green Corp will unite with The blue Corp.

Kesselring will kill the Katuysha then retreat to safety. (If you aren’t able to kill the Katuysha fast enough, use a member of the blue Corp to finish it)

The blue Corp will charge on Leningrad. Make sure to kill Vatutin as fast as possible. If you don’t, one or two of your tanks might die in action.





1. Kill the remaining forces near Leningrad.

2. Capture Leningrad.  Note: it will trigger the following image.

3. Replenish your tanks and infantry

4. Defeat the Soviet counterattack

Note: this is the step where you would usually buy reinforcements. I suggest you buy fast units to facilitate your March on Moscow.




When you capture Leningrad, the map will expand, showing two new objectives: Moscow and an unnamed city (I think).

An IA German army will also appear. It should capture the unnamed city and help you siege Moscow.



Rushing to Moscow



Now that the hard part is done, it’s time to show the world your Blitzkrieg tactics. Rush to Moscow the fastest you can and make sure to defeat Zhukov by turn 18.

This part is pretty easy, the only difficulty is to get to Moscow fast enough to get the last secondary achievement.






Assemble your army near Moscow, defeating all Soviet units you see on your way.
