So let's get started.
Skills:
1. Machinist - Trash skill in all, being silver is worse than Monty's gold Machinist. Good to have if you want some more HP on replenishing HTs, but just recruit another one.
2. Panzer Leader - Wonderful skill. Almost 1/4 chance to attack again? Yes please. Only complaint is more damage, but tanks are tanks and the pros far outweigh the cons.
3. Anti-Armour - HTs are naturally good for killing inf, and tanks and arty are the main problem to HTs. This skill will solve one of them and being a gold skill helps a lot.
Overall Skills - 2/3 good skills, better skills than Monty, Equal/Worse than Vatutin.
Stars:
3*s in Panzers are sad, but skills make up for it. 2*s in Mobility is wonderful.
Overall Stars - Value mobility, he is the guy for you, 3* in Panzer is bad, 2*s in Mobility is great.
Damage:
According to my calculations, he is the second best in damage after Vatutin, but is faster so that is a plus. Followed by Monty, that's actually pretty good.
Cost:
For (IIRC) 815 medals, he is very good. Outclassed by Rommel in challenges, but is very good for the Allies campaign. Cheaper than Monty more more expensive than Vatutin.
Other: Besides from not surviving long, I don't have complaints about this guy. Only Machinist is bad and fast so I believe you should get him.
Comparisons: (underlined = winner)
Vatutin vs. Rokossovsky - Equal, Vatutin is slower but far stronger, but Rokossovsky is weaker but faster.
Rokossovsky vs. Monty - Roko is better overall. 'Nuff said.
Rokossovsky vs. de Gaulle - No contest here.
Overall:
2nd best Allies HT general, moderately priced, Available early on, 4* tier, EFC approved. I have him, and he is great.
On Challenges or AG/Conquests, worse than most good Axis generals, but is still ok.
Verdict: Not an overated de Gaulle, and not a Heavy tank GOD (Rommel and Rommel only, slight thaw for Vatutin),more like Heavy Tank Demigod.
