Because India has only won 1 silver medal so far. You must happy for being 1st until now right? I gotta be. Don't know when will the US bump us off from that place so we have to enjoy every moment before that happens. |

Regardless of medal count, the Olympics are still pretty interesting this year. I try to watch all the events I can although most of the events happen at night for me.

Maybe China is the new No.1? I was actually watching one of the games and they said that the US has only been leading in Gold Medals for the last 2 olympics. Before then, US wasn't always the leader. |

Yeah, I think China has really started to take the Olympics seriously especially when they're gonna be in Bejing again, so the facilities won't be a problem. |

I'm not sure if the US will bump China off. Swimming is over already and usually the US gets more medals. It's kinda funny how a lot of US newspapers changed their rankings from most gold to total medals after China got more gold medals at the 2008 Olympics. Still, the rest of the world uses most gold and the US can't change it. |

Still, the rest of the world uses most gold and the US can't change it. Yeah truu, it is kind of funny. US has to rely heavily on Track and Field in order to get the most golds. I think China will end with the most at the end though at this point in the games. |

Already finnished? US first, OK - but without the CCCP ... Hey the Nederlanden did quite nice nochbv And as expected: once again ๐ฅ for the NL-fieldhokey girls. I mixed girls and boys medals on my initial posting, but the good vibe had effect: NL > F,D,I,B,P es... nice performance, if you needed something to be proud to - You got it !And finally! Again medalls for India's hockey team John Marston! - even Indias's women had great games I read. |

Though our Hockey women's team punched above their weight, the failed at the last step, which still is a commendable effort. Well, we almost got to 10 medals though and this was our best performance in decades. I can expect at least 3 golds the next time, courtesy shooting as though they failed miserably this time, most of them are still young and they have got a lot of experience. |
