Hi guys!
I’ve got 839 medals and my lineup is Montgomery, Leeb and all the free generals which you gain from the WF ‘39, EF ‘41 and PF ‘42.
Which generals should I aim for next?

I'm taking it that your next campaign is 1941 desert?
In that case, you're going to need an axis tank general.
You should say hello to Guderian then~

It is a good deal harder than 1941 Eastern was but I managed to not buy a navy and I am at the last few missions. Navy gens will not be of great use in the next few theaters so it is probably best to avoid them right now. My axis lineup is Guderian-Leeb-900 medals to buy Yamashita/Rundstedt, still thinking about it.

I am only a little bit further than you but I have 2 extra generals (Guderian, MacArthur) and about the same amount of medals. I think you should go back and perfect clear all of 1939 including star missions for the couple hundred medals. Also, there are a few hundred medals in Army Group achievements. Army Group B in 1939, Army Group South in 1941 and German Army group A are the ones I did and they are all doable with just free gens+little tech. All in all, that is enough to get a Gold tier general plus a bit more from other achievements you get along the way. I highly recommend you do this if you're stuck. I have been progressing slowly in campaigns and perfect clearing every campaign before moving onto the next one so I did a lot of other game modes and gotten all these medals.

I think that MacArthur is a great choice because you need an allied infantry and he is the best allied infantry. You will need him throughout the rest of the game so he is a great investment for you right now.

I agree that he is the best allied arty, maybe even better than leeb and a great general overall but do you really need him for Pacific 42 and Africa 41? Personally, I think an infantry is more useful in pacific 42 than artillery, but I haven't finished Africa or later theaters so idk if govorov is a god there.

You need to have a powerful Artillery General for 1944 and probably for Operations Vulcan.

Neh, Chuikov can get through vulcan and 1944 pretty well, especially with that added damage when attacking cities. I got Govorov for the later half of 1945 when I wanted a chuikov upgrade. He's the best allied artillery, but you don't really need the best allied artillery to clear that part yet.

Rommel, Rundstedt, MacArthur, Govorov. What about Guderian, Leeb, and an allied tank general? Personally, on my first run through the game, I have gone Guderian->Leeb->Monty->MacArthur->Yamashita->Patton
