Welcome to one of the weirder conquest maps: America 1775
Here, we have the ongoing American Revolutionary War featuring Britain with Hessen and allied Indians versus the USA with France, Spain and the Netherlands.
To make matters worse, there are other mercenary, colonial or settler states who align with either faction.
You are Saxony, the easier 2* German state as opposed to your brother, Brunswick. Both of you are nearly surrounded on all sides and your enemies certainly do not waste their time in eliminating you.
Luckily, your position and fortresses provide the greater advantage you need to survive.
You need at least one strong cav gen, preferably with Snare Drum and Cav Pistol at the very least.
I used Sebestiani.
Phase 1: Reverse 1939
Objectives:
1. Eliminate Poland, the weakest hostile neighbour.
2. Survive the onslaught.
3. Prepare to launch your counterattack.
Poland is a key threat to both German states. However, it poses greater threat to us compared to Brunswick.
Yet, why do we still choose to oppose the Poles head on? The Americans are too close for us to attack the Dutch without being surrounded and the Dutch have too much territory and troops to be eliminated swiftly.
The Poles, on the other hand, are surrounded and do not share these advantages.
Thus, we shall eliminate Poland and put an end to this war on two fronts! THIS is just as what Kleist once said in Unification of Germany, "Although the enemy outnumbers us, they have limited battle capability. We will win this war." For our new Fatherland, ADVANCE!
Deploy our strongest cav gen on the 2X light cav. March him against Poland. The 3X line inf will assist. Our allies will also assist us.
A) Take out the small fort. This opens the land path fully for our allies to advance.
B) Attack the coastal fort. This opens the sea path for Spain's battleship to assist.
C) Attack and occupy the factory. Leaving this open is a good way to draw Kosciusko out of town, if needed.
August I will upgrade the nearby town into a lvl 6 city and defend against Sokolnick's naval attack. The militia will assist.
August I can help to flank Dutch troops surrounding the stables.
Use the fort to target Sokolnicki and other weaker troops.
The light arty will make a stand at the stables with a newly raised 1X light cav.
Know that losing the factory and stables to the American-Dutch forces is not the end. Once Poland falls, we can focus northward (to repel those hostile American settlers) and eastward (to evict the Dutch and seize their valuable territory).
Spam line inf to hold the town at all costs!
Phase 2: East Florida Campaign
Objectives:
1. Obtain access to the Atlantic Sea and a port to fight at sea.
2. Crush the Dutch, the only other weak hostile neighbour left.
3. Repel the American invaders and reclaim all lost lands.
4. Invade the American lands.
5. Assist Brunswick and other surviving allies.
Move our strongest cav gen back and send him to reclaim our lost lands! At the same time, we must watch Savannah. If the Dutch carelessly leave it open, we shall take this chance to deliver our punishment! Send in the cavalry.
August I can disable the nearby coastal and small forts. Once he is done, send him to attack the isolated stables.
Send our 3X line inf northward. Assist brother Brunswick, look for opportunities to eliminate isolated French or American units and find a way to reclaim some lost land.
As much as possible, avoid the meddlesome Hopkins. We need to focus on eliminating the Dutch first while preserving our strength.
Spam line inf to hold our ground and surround him, if needed and possible.
Phase 3: The Rise of the German Confederation of North America
Objectives:
1. Rescue your surviving allies.
2. Confront the remaining enemies at sea (extremely low priority).
3. Conquer the USA and reclaim British Canada.
Commander, we have successfully evicted the Dutch! Their remnants have escaped to sea, forming a small, but powerful blue fleet at the SE corner. However, they dare not challenge us when we have control of the land. We shall finish them off when the war on land draws to a close.
By this time, you should have build a unit to deploy your strongest gen / trading gen on. (My Isabella possesses 5* in trading.)
The loss of our brother, Brunswick and soon, Hesse are tragedies, but we will avenge them! Reclaim their lost lands, invade French Louisiana and form the southern pincer of attack against those Loyalist USA rebels!
You may want to build 3-5 frigates to assist in your operations. The use of light cav will also enable the swift capture of open towns.
Congratulations, Commander! The fall of Charlestown has given us a trading post. Quickly, send our new gen in to use their trading *s! We shall quickly build a massive army and deploy our other elite gens to confront the enemy!
Now, move as you see fit, Commander, for the war is as good as won!
Note:
- The blue faction may be executing a strong push between the lakes, heading towards Clinton's position at Kingston.
- He may soon lead a foolish counterattack that will open the way for the enemy.
- Our British allies may have stalled and struggle to expand past Hartford.
- The Hessians may also be at risk of being overrun by Washington.
- You need around 10 or more frigates to confront the remaining blue fleet.
- The Indians may be defeated or rendered useless by the enemy onslaught.
- The Russians will become a strong power in the west.
- Bases with Taverns may be drained by the enemy to churn out gens.
