right now i am at 1941 eastern front, my tech levels are lvl 2 infantry and armor, lvl 1 artillery, lvl 0 navy and air force
what should the upgrade path for technology look like ? is upgrading air force and navy right now important or should i keep upgrading infantry and armor ?

deaglef27, I would recommend upgrading Inf/Tank and navy. Navy will be helpful for 1942 and Inf/Tank are good for land battles in general. Also, you want to upgrade air a little bit the get the extra range (forgot if it is lvl 1 or 2) because a couple missions will become much easier with it. Artillery is less useful because tanks are better on land and have fun hauling artillery between islands. Personally, I maxed tank tech immediately which made 1942 harder for me, and I would suggest you instead max Inf tech because Infantry are the most versatile and can paratroop between islands for 1942. Summary: Inf->Tank (Navy if you have trouble with 1942)->Navy->Artillery->Air Force (get lvl 1 or 2 early to get the +1 range).

If you buy a naval general for 1942, you won't need tech as much (If you do get a naval general, get Donitz). But, if you don't want to get a naval general (I didn't, it is completely doable) you should upgrade naval tech to about lvl 4. If you can, try to not get a naval general because he will be useless for 1941 africa+1944 western while land generals will always be useful.

Also, if you need more golden medals (or knight badges, the tech upgrading ones) you should do more Army Groups and play challenge mode every day. You can also get 40 knight badges a week from daily rewards and 6 knight badges per day from the cross medal.

They might help in the short term, but not in the long term. Go straight for elite generals. For me, I bought Guderian, Leeb, Yamashita and Donitz before getting Macarthur (My first allied general when starting 1941 North Africa). So Allied missions should be doable with free generals.

I'm pretty sure hangrybird perfect cleared all the way up to 1941 africa with only free gens. Also, deaglef27, the daily rewards reset every 7 days so they are a good renewable source of resources. I suggest going Guderian-Leeb-Yamashita-Rommel for Axis and MacArthur-Monty for allied. Allied missions tend to be much easier so you do not need allied generals urgently.
