Okay, so is Monty's survivability too poor for Aliens? in that case, Guderian's survivability is even worse. From what I can tell, alien campaign and conquests are slow death slogs with one just trying to out last the other before one can make a breakthrough. Not too poor, but we need to secure damage first. I think tacking aliens are actually the opposite. You have to keep advancing to prevent more enemies from spawning. Every spaceship feels like Badoglio. Got it. So then would Patton be the best for Aliens? Do Aliens count as cities for his Explosives?

He is also a great one at occupying cities and most enemies are around them.

It seems like Patton would also be great for Cold War with 3/5 of his skills being top-tier. Why not get him instead? And even PL and Street Fighting are one rung above useless in Cold War. He seems to be good, maybe Blitz is questionable.

Because Patton is also one of the 3 must gets for non-IAP. You don't get him instead. You get him as well.

There's no need for Badoglio if he can afford Govorov. But Guderian remains to be the ideal first choice, if possible. I have to say no. Govorov is by far the best general in the game, while Guderian is like, the fourth, after Bai, Govorov, and IMO Montgomery. You can't match Monty's toughness. Guderian has some annoying hype, but yes, he is good. Govorov remains my first choice simply because of the output, and that one marching star is enough for campaign missions. Besides, in all of my conquests, Govorov never survived a hit from a nuke, or was simply spammed out.
