So, what do you all think about the new "Elite Campaigns"? I created this thread for observations, tips, and general comments about this new mode. First off, the battles are not for the beginner and even the first one (Poland) requires either high tech or good generals or both. I have only played through one campaign (poland) and I haven't tried the others, but this seems to be endgame content.

Let me start this off with an observation: Enemy generals get promotions. So far, I have only seen 2-star and 1-star promotions (30% and 15%) but I haven't played too much yet. The good news is that allied generals also get promotions.

Another observation: Your enemy's tech varies. In campaigns, if your enemy or ally has tank tech lvl 4, all their tanks are lvl 4 (with the exception of the occasional general). In elite battles, units of the same type can have very different tech levels. It seems that generally the stronger the unit, the higher the tech level. For example, a 3-stack infantry in the battle of lenningrad has lvl 3 tech while a 2-stack infantry has lvl 2 tech. Also, units with special forces and/or generals have higher tech levels.

You get a massive supply (around 500-700 supply points) and double stack HTs, double stack navy and triple stack HA on some missions from what I've seen

I just fought Rommel on a double stacked HT in dunkirk and I had to send Yamashita, Guderian, Rommel, and Govorov at him lol. We cannot make troops, but we can buy pretty much all the troop reinforcements it seems (not including airplanes but those aren't really worth it anyway).

You get a more starting troops: Stonks
The enemy gets a lot more troops: Stinks
Apart from that... yes, definitely not for beginners. I've been rolling out all my top tier generals with stars to just scrape that perfect clear

I think I just kept focus firing through to the enemy generals and let the AI killsteal a lot of them. So glad it's all over, perfect grinded all of the stages. Oh, and on a side note, easytech did it again!

The elite campaigns are very easy if you have endgame generals and elites. I wish they were like Crimea scenarios in WC5.

Anyways, I agree that it is a little easy for endgame players because you can use any general and special force. Still, these missions are too hard/impossible for beginners so it's kinda in a spot where it is extremely challenging but doable for almost no players.
