You cant sell generals in GoG3, so there is no need for "starting generals". I agree, Badoglio is good (probably the 2nd best axis artillery gen.), but in a game with limited medals and better options at artillery, those medals are best spend elsewhere. wait you can't sell them!? Well, guess I'm stuck with you Baggy Dolio. Better do me proud ye bastard. Don't worry, Badoglio is still good. If you don't buy Zhukov, you will probably end up having both Leeb and Badoglio in the endgame.

I have complete confidence in his performance. Leeb was trash in WC3 so him not so much.

No difference between Badoglio and Leeb? Even Chuikov is better than Badoglio. It is extremely strange approach some players show when infantry leader skill is adored and arty/panzer leader underestimated... Hey, I really like All leader skills, it is just that I don't think it is worth 150 medals.

Hey, I really like All leader skills, it is just that I don't think it is worth 150 medals. Except its an extra 150 medals for more flat damage, more crit damage, and the best "leader" skill in the game. Now that I think about it, Leeb is the better price performer anyways. However, It does not matter who you buy. The skill of the player is much more important in this game than the quality of the general.

So can I have some advice? Gerd von Rundstedt , This mission is a kick in the pants and took me several tries to beat. My strategy was to annihilate the enemy on the northern Island first so my allies would not waste time at the top of the map. Also, it is very important that your infantry general (Rundstedt is a good choice for this mission) survives so you can use him as a paratrooper and use his air stars to eliminate remaining enemies. Have you a more in depth guide?

Ok here comes the guide:
Generals used:Rommel, Leeb (badoglio), Yamashita (rundstedt), Donitz, and the freebies. Rommel on medium tank, donitz on battleship, model on carrier, ozawa on cruiser, Yamashita on infantry and leeb (badoglio) on Artillery Give yamashita viking and leeb the M40
Now for the actual guide:
On turn 1, move yamashita and leeb to the north island, you should be able to take out the destroyer and get ready to land, Use model to hit the infantry on the coastal artillery. next land yamashita to kill blamey. The entire mission you should be killing infantry on coast guns with model. while that's happening send your navy and other units to the second island. by turn 5 the north island should be clear and you should have landed on the second island. buy a second carrier, then battleship next turn. try to keep all naval units alive so you can heal them later. you should get the airfield on turn 6, use the money you get to heal your naval units. spend turns 6 and 7 bring up your units and weakening crerar. on turn 7 buy an infantry unit and cruiser with the last of your money, put a para special forces on the infantry. on turn 8 fletcher reveals himself, hit him with your battleship and carriers. you should also have wiped out most of the canadians on this turn. on turn 9 I killed fletcher and simonds. on turn 10 i had the armored car, and 2 infantry units ready to land in the 4th island.
On turn 10, nimtz reveals himself and killed another japanese carrier. I parked donitz in the port on the 4th island, he will heal and hit nimtz every turn, my other units were able to land on the 4th island on this turn as well. your carriers should also torpedo bomb nimtz every turn. on turn 12 my land units helped donitz kill nimtz, although i had to retreat donitz because he was hit hard. Donitz kills arnold, and the rest of your forces prep to land on the final island. I sent 2 cruisers and a destroyer north, well everything else attacks the final island, at this point it should be easy. (sorry I ran out of time, Ill come finish the guide later)

This mission should be simple and easy, I perfect cleared it first try. Just throw your forces to the North West and swing to the south east.

I cant beat it Gens : all free plus guderian , leeb , yamashita , student , campioni Tech 43543 I recommend starting from the far left australian garrison because after a certain point you really get exhausted. I did it with donitz so unfortunetaly I cant make a guide. The key is to use your land troops. Never hesitate due to their coastal artys just rush insanely with you yama and guderian, give that ship killer arty to leeb aswell.

Iโm gonna do a guide about it. I'll take this one.
Tech lvls: 6-6-6-2-6. Gens used are Guderian on starting 2X Panther, Leeb on the strarting 2X 75/18 M40 (ie. the Italian anti-ship arty Special Force), Ozawa / best naval gen on the starting 4-hex battleship, Yamashita and Rundstedt on individual starting 3X inf (Special Forces deployment is up to you) as well as Riccardi / 2nd best naval gen on Reinforcement 4-hex battleship. Mistakes that you will see: Buying a 2X submarine instead of a 3X inf Reinforcement. Deploying Riccardi on a 3X ship instead of the aforementioned 4-hex battleship (80 Reinforcement money).
Strategy: Ignore the ongoing naval battle between AIs. The American fleet will be crippled, but everyone on your side except for the aircraft carriers will be sunk. Attack in a clockwise direction, target enemy coastal arty and pray that these arty remain usable after their garrisons have been eliminated. Note: If low on HP, just openly heal/stack as needed. You have more than enough money in this campaign to do so. No need to be stingy. Tactically, the idea is to concentrate firepower and use overlapping fields of fire to sink powerful ships (Fletcher, Nimitz and Halsey). If a coastal arty is destroyed and there's value in building another, don't hesitate to deploy Special Forces engineers. It's far better to be able to fight back against Nimitz's 4-hex attacks than to act as sitting ducks. Target the docked ship and destroy it ASAP. Surround the island on the west and south coasts, land and eliminate the garrison. Beware the supporting ship to the NE! Move on to the second island. Deploy your reinforcements as paratroopers. Send them to take key facilities (ie. radar stations or coastal arty). Deploy your Reinforcement aircraft carrier as soon as possible. Fletcher should be located north or NE of the third island. Fletcher moved SW into the rest of my fleet. Unsure if it's scripted or not, but try to pound him with all you've got. Watch out for a minor counterattack at the northern end of the map! Beware! Nimitz may or may not remain at the NE corner of the map. He may also move towards the third and fourth islands. Pound him as soon as he shows up! What follows is the use of the fourth island's airport to send scouts. Evidently, Halsey is MIA so we have to be cautious of his air support and the remaining ground troops. Land your paratroopers together and march in to take key facilities. Bombard Halsey with everything you've got! Work with your two aircraft carriers and remaining ships to take out enemy coastal arty garrisons and bomb Halsey. Mop up the remaining enemies, mainly using the excessive cash saved up to send planes to raid the enemy.
