This is one of the most rage inducing missions of GoG3. It took me several tries and new strategies. Make a mental note to yourself that this wouldn't be easy unless of course, you have max everything and extremely good generals. Do note that this is my first battle guide so the format will be very messy and hard to read, there will be errors and miscalculations and yeah 0-0, I hope it's fine and this can help you in someway.
The team I used will be listed below. I'll rank them from essential to not needed so you can see if your team is enough of a substitute. -Donitz, 3 stars [Essential] -Zhukov, 3 stars [Very helpful][Leeb is fine if you have him] -Ozawa, 0 star [Very helpful] -Rommel, 3 stars [Very helpful] -Guderian, 3 stars [Helpful](wot?) -Kesselring, 1 star [Not needed]
My tech level is: 4-5-5-4-2
Alright then, let's begin!
You'll need to kill Fletcher, Nimitz, and Halsey. I would not recommend going for the perfect clear on your first try, as that would be quite difficult. Fletcher and Nimitz will appear behind Maui at different times, while Halsey is hiding behind Hawai'i in the south. Your land force should not play an essential role until Maui and Hawai'i. (the 4th and 5th island from the northwest).
Put Donitz on the battleship, Guderian on the medium tank, and Zhukov on the artillery. Don't give them any special forces yet because they'll take damage during landing operations or at sea. Bombard O'ahu, which should be held by the USA (the 2nd island in the island chain, with the yellow airfield). Use the aircraft carrier to support your operation. Land your 2 infantry there and grab the airfield for extra coins after all the units there have been killed, however most of your forces including your land generals should stay at sea, far behind the frontline.
on turn 5-8 (depends when its available, but it should be as early as possible), deploy the reinforcement battleship on the island you just captured and put Ozawa on it. Meet up with Donitz and together they should take care of Moloka'i (the Canadian one) together with the rest of your navy. Occupy the city with infantry while keeping most of your army at sea. Replenish your battleships in the port if needed. Send your aircraft carrier north and take care of the first island. There should be a couple of your allies' carrier there so it shouldn't be too hard.
Clear out the navy around Maui and land your troops there. Put SF on your generals (especially the Italian thing on the artillery) and wait for Nimitz to come. After Nimitz arrives focus everything on him. Keep your best naval general in the port in Maui to keep healing. After Nimitz is dead head south, clear the airport on Hawai'i and land a paratrooper there. Spawn the medium tank and put Rommel on it, and put an SF. Then just finish off everything in the last island and you should be fine.

John Marston, use the link for this thread instead. I hope that this compiled thread will be the last of the threads on this battle. NotRandom, odd, I found this relatively doable with lvl 2 navy tech and no additional admirals. Perhaps it's my high tech lvl in other troop types that helped?

Mikey : "Master Splinter always says, Accept the hand the Universe has lent to you". Raph : "...THE UNIVERSE HAS LENT US A TERRIBLE HAND"
Why am I going through such unecesessary suffering? Why... ET why? Why has the Universe lent me a terrible hand?
I've killed every single unit and captured every enemy facility. I was not victorious (games are really dumb sometimes). Someone can help me here?

John Marston, I think your game's version of this battle is cursed. Try spamming scouts to check all corners, perhaps an American ship is at the NE corner.

I've done that. I was on round 24 and cloud saved it, completed the level (Got a "Failure screen"), reloaded my save, but the game file was gone.

How about playing the entire level on mobile, before cloud saving it over?
