If you've won a 1917 conquest and would like to share how you won, please feel free to comment here. I've played well over a hundred hours on this conquest and never won, although I've come close. I've completed the Eastern Front campaigns, have decent tech, bought Ivanov and Hindenburg....but no dice on the victory. I have won the other 3 conquests.
So for those of you a lot better than me....please share for all of us to learn by.

Ivanov and Hindenburg is not great enough for 1917 you still need Beseler, Plummer, Johnston, Straussenberg, and Hipper. And your tech must probably around chapter VIII tech

The non-achievement countries were all done with max tech (including special training medals) and maxed gens so they all seem to be quite easy. Cav gens are much more important than art gens. I deployed 3 art gens and 5 cav gens most of the time. You need to acquire more op cav gen such as Plumer, Johnston, Stepanovic. The cav gens can kill several enemy units in 1 turn.
US, GB and Brazil (Eagle) dominate Amercias. Austro-Hungary, USSR, Ottoman, and Germany (Crown) dominate Europe.
For Crown allies in Europe, donate to Canada, Mexico, Cuba, and may be Iroquois asap. Most likely, you'll have to go to South America to defeat Brazil. You may want to donate to Egypt as well to speed things up in Africa.
For Eagle allies in Europe, just defeat Crown in Europe and donate to Lybia (send some units to Africa if Lybia was defeated). US, GB and Brazil will take care of Americas.
For Crown allies in Americas, just defeat Eagle in Americas and then go to Ireland. You allies should be attacking England when you attack Ireland. You may want to donate to Egypt to speed things up in Africa.
For Eagle allies in Americas, send at least 5 of your gens (including recruitments in Europe) to Europe (may be via Portugal and defeat Spain first) asap. Do not wait for complete victory in Americas. Otherwise, you'll have to deal with a thick wall of enemy spams. Donate to Italy and Russia asap.
When I played as Eagle, I always declared war on Cuba when US joined so that Cuba would be taken out early.

I made a guide for USA, one of the most tedious conquests... here is the link: european-war-4.boards.net/thread/14089/usa-1917-conquest?page=1&scrollTo=263907
