Hi all, these are the rules for the new dice wars!
Summary:
you have troops on beforehand, you got to use them to destroy enemies troops.
you destroy enemies troops with dices.
you have generals and tactics to Ensure your victory!
Troops:
at the beginning your troops are deployed at specific positions (decided by gm)
your troops can move to other fields. all your troops only have 1 movement, this can change by roads and general abilities. (like konev in ww2)
there are 2 types of troops: Commandos and Tanks
both troops are equally strong, but this can change by the terrain they are standing on or by general abilities.
you can only attack the amount of troops the enemy or you have. so if the enemy has 300 troops and you 500, you can only attack with 300 troops.
Dices:
you have to throw dices to beat the enemy, the dices are Always the same, regardless the amount of troops you and the enemy have. the only way the dices can change is through advantages and disadvantages.
you have to attack with at least 100 troops of you, if you don't have 100 anymore, you have to attack with half of your troops.
you have to attack with max 250 troops of you
these are the dice numbers and the meaning of them (without advantages or disadvantages):
*11-12 means that youve slaughtered the eneny: all enemy troops dead
*9-10 means that you win: the halve of the enemy troops are death
*8 means an strategic and morale win: your amry is boasted, the numbers to accomplish the targets has been reduced by 1. So you only need an 8 to win next time!
*7 means an withdraw, no loses on both sides
*6 means an strategic and moral lose: the next time you attack, you will need to put 1 above the targets number. So you need an 10 to win!
*4-5 means a lose, you will loose the half of the men you deployed in battle
*2-3 means a terrible mistake, you will loose all the troops youve deployed in battle
when having advantages, the number of the things will go down with the amount of advantages you have
Generals
Generals will be necesarry to Ensure victory. every general has an special ability which you can use in the war.
some generals have an duration, you can use the general the amount of time the numbers shows you.
Map
The map won't be realistic, it will look like a chess field, some chess field have an terrain on it. these terrains give you special bonus. also your troops are starting at an specific place on the map, you can move your troops one field a phase.
the terrains are:
How about 6 types of terrains:
1. Forest
Decrease the amount of commandos needed to attack with 10 percent, so if you normally need 200 men, you now only need 180 men
2. River
Commandos gain 1 advantages
3. Blank/plain tiles
No advantage or disadvantages
4. Road, move another hex
5. Desert
Decrease the amount of tanks needed to attack with 10 percent, so if you normally need 200 men, you now only need 180 men
6. Grassland
Tanks gain 1 advantages
Moving:
each type of troops move 1 field a turn/day.
if you split 1000 tanks at e3 to 500 tanks at e4, the troops at e4 can't move anymore, the troops at e3 however, can still move.
you have to tell at the end of your turn where your troops are, so that other players know where your troops are
Surrounding:
when surrounding enemy on 2 hexes. (that are at the opposite of eachother) will give you +2 advantages.
when blocking the enemy on 4 hexes. the enemy troops surrender
Example of a turn:
Note: there won't be turns, your troops can move 1 field a day (horizontal or vertical).
NetherFreek /Japan:
move my 500 tanks from e4 to e3
attack Napoleon Bonaparte at d3 with my 200 tanks at e3
i don't got advantages from the previous battle so i start with 0
i use the general "example". the general "example" gives me this bonus: when attacking with tanks you get 1 extra advantages, duration 3. (So i can use him two times again in the war)
i use 2 planes. (so another advantage)
i'm on a desert tile so i need. 200*0,9=180 tanks.
i throw this:
Hj|a6bOS
i need these numbers to reach the following things:
9-12, Napoleon Bonaparte loses 200 tanks at d3
7-8, Napoleon Bonaparte loses 100 tanks at d3
6, I gain an advantage for next battle (but lose the general/plain advantage so only 1 advantage next battle)
5, all troops withdraw
4. i gain an disadvantage for next battle (but lose the general/plain advantage so 1 disadvantage next battle)
2-3, NetherFreek loses 90 tanks at e3
(this turn is very complicated because it got everything, normal turns won't be this complecated)
