Hey guys!
I'm quite new to the game so i'm still not getting all the mechanics:
1. How do i get the possiblity to craft tanks? i played the first campaign and 3/4 different conquests (with ottomans, great britan etc) and never could build tanks anywhere... even in areas with lv 6 cities... not in the city, the stall or the factory, i dont get it
2. Why is the population increase of the farm not working everytime? Some time i build a new farm in an upgraded city but my population didnt change at all... what's the reason for that?
3. The most important question: How do the generals work together with the types of the armies? is an armored car a cavalry unit because its build in the stall or not? is an machine gun unit an infantry unit because its build in the city? etc etc etc....
4. If you have some general tips for a beginner please tell me because i already start to have some problems in the first level of the second campaign with prussia and don't know why
P.S.: maybe i have all these problems because i played EW3 before a lot and are still playing in an EW3 style
Thank you for your help!

You need to research technology to make tanks. 2. Not sure (I too am too new in this game) 3. I did this level with the free generals. In the first campaign, you will get free generals. You can unlock them by playing the "Star campaigns". Remember that not all star missions give free generals though. But they do give a higher reward than other levels.

1. You need research 2. Sometimes it is the limit of population for example usually conquest limit 200 pop so even upgrading farm it will still be 200 3. Get Jackson ASAP he will really helpful. For general path you can try to buy Beseler/Ivanov first then Straussenberg, Ivanov/Beseler (Depend on which you buy first) then Plummer, Lee (Great but useless on History mode)/MacMahon (Weaker than Lee but useful on History mode and has terrain skill which is good), lastly is Hipper (Strong but not for history mode) or Beatty (a little weaker than Hipper but good for history mode). For the rest just get Johnston, Aosta, Hindenburg or buying all of the general i write on those list

Hey, a pretty experienced player here to help . 1: first off, you need to research it. This is in the left-down corner of your conquest screen. This is only exclusive to certaon countries and ages however. For example, Great Britain in 1914 can build tanks. I don't recommend to start with this conquest though, as it's pretty tough. 2: this is a bit wonky at times. My best guess is that the max population is determined by your country's stars, and that when it reaches a max, it can't be upgraded. I might be wrong though. Your most important question: every general has two numbers of abilities. Battle ability and "unit type" ability. This battle ablity is more general, so this bonus gets added no matter what unit you put him/her on. The unit type ability is specific to the unit which the general corresponds to. Robert e lee for example is infantry, and thus gives an extra attack boost to infantry. You can see the exact number when you click on the general. There are 4 different unit types: infantry, which is recruited from a city, cavalry, which is recruited from a stable, artillery, which is recruited from a Factory, and navy, which is recruited from a port. So yes, an armored car is cavalry, because it's bought in a stable. There is only one exception to this rule, and those are the tavern generals you hire in conquests. These generals ca' be recruited in a level 3 military academy, and appear in the city if bought. These generals can be on any unit, except navy. 3. This is indeed a pretty tough campaign. Try to get all the free generals from chapter one, including Stonewall jackson, because he is really good. Have fun with the game!

I have 2 great ones already: plummer and jackson 1. He's free 2. 曹操 says he has 3 great cavalry skills 3. He's your 2nd cav general at the start. 4. He'll help you clear levels and gain medals to buy other generals.

I'm sure someone has said what I am going to say but: 1. You have to research and play as a certain country (GB and Germany are 2 I know) to be able to build tanks as a cavalry unit. 2. This also happened in the prequel, and my best answer is there is a limit. For game balance. Sometimes it goes up after you get tons of cities however, by 2 or 3. 3. Yes, this is how it works, by how you make it, but you can also see the category on the unit overview. 4. If you look around, there are guides and general recommendations a-plenty and you can always create guides to share the knowledge. I recommend Straussenburg/Lee, McClellan/Johnston/Plumer, Beseler, and Hipper for each category.
