I’ve just reached 1941 North Africa (FINALLY!!!) and I am looking fo a good strong general to buy I have got 1000 plus medals to spend. Any recommendations with my line up? (WARNING THIS MAY TRIGGER PEOPLE) Guderian was honestly a let down for me. I had to buy Rommel to supplement more damage. As Rommel is throwing out crits frequently Guderian seems to struggle doing 50-100 damage while Rommel easily does like 70-150 and he’s on a ARMORED CAR!!! so what general should I get

Actually you should get an infantry general first before Rommel but anyway buy MacArthur or Patton which i reccomend mac but if you like tank then just get Patton. Ah lastly yes Guderian is weaker but you can see he will be rarely need replenishment due to BlitzKrieg while Rommel will always need it since he doesn't have blitzkrieg therefore Guderian is for medium tank/heavy tank while rommel is only for Heavy tank

darkfox77, please, no Patton. Get Rokossovsky since his skills are much better. Or you can get MacArthur, though getting a tank general is recommended. Guderian is the best survivalist and deals good damage too. Perfectly suited for offense. Rommel deals more damage, but is weak and needs constant restacking.

I think you're just comparing them wrongly.
Rommel on an armoured car against infantry will naturally be a beast, same with heavy tanks.
Guderian on the same troops would also dish out about the same output as Rommel.
Now if you compare Rommel on a tank with Guderian on a tank, both attacking enemy tanks, Rommel's output would also rarely exceed 100, same with Guderian. If anything, Guderian should be higher due to his anti-armour skill.
Lastly, you're calling 50-100 bad. In my experience, Guderian usually dishes about 70-80 to a tank, well within your range.
Now compare it to a normal tank without generals. It'll dish out 30-40. Is Guderian is bad compared to a normal tank?
Now compare with Patton, another well used general, often compared due to blitzkrieg skills. Patton would usually dish out about 50-60, rarely going above unless it crits.
Do you still think Guderian isn't gud?
Also, get Macarthur

He beats Rommel on an HT (for me) and doesn't need a recruit/reinforcement until the end/never in campaigns. Rommel needs more healing, like twice a campaign. Your image isn't working for me, so assuming you only have Guderian, get Leeb or Yamashita and then MacArthur, or the other way around. You might want to consider Rokossovsky/Vatutin/Monty for 1944, and Patton, though Patton hits like mild wind to a house, barely an improvement from the wing flap of a regular tank and far from Guderian's tornado.

I think there may be something wrong with my game because when I returned to the eastern front to try and perfect clear some campaigns and Guderian $ucked I don’t know why before I would be choosing Guderian over any other but he doesn’t seem to hit pike he used to Btw I got MacArthur and he hits like a truck.

darkfox77, your priority should be MacArthur then get Vatutin, or Yamashita would work well.
