 Training is trash skill because - 1. There are better skills and 2. It is useless when maxed out. Now take a look at this photo. My artillery and tank tech is max, but still, Leeb and Rommel have upgraded and they now have level '7' chevrons (A * and ^^ on top). So maybe training isn't as useless as thought previously. But, I don't really know how many levels it can advance. But one thing is for sure - Training can be used even after max tech. Same applies to ace forces too. |

So in case you recruit units, the level 7 chevrons will turn back into level 6 again (* and only 1 ^ on top). But, having a training skill prevents it.
However, replenishing DOES NOT TURN THE LEVEL OF CHEVRONS BACK AGAIN!! But, replenishing isn't really desirable, especially when you have a general on it he has stars.

Training is still pretty worthless imo, level 7 is the highest your units can get, so training prevents your units from losing 1 level at max tech, so its not really worth it in my eyes.

With Level 6 Tech my training level has never fallen below 6 (* and one ^) and it is quite easy to level up units to 6.

Also, you are right idunnowhattocallthis. The maximum you can (Most probably) advance is level 7. So training is really trash it seems. In that mission, I've never restacked Leeb again, but he did not advance any further. |

I don't think you'll need training tho, usually everytime your general replenish or recruiting, you basically able to kill tons of enemy which will add chevron back to max level again so it's better to get another gen which has better skill than training.
