What do you think about new diplomacy mechanics mentioned in the last FB post? What will it look like?

I think we should have kinds of armor and weapons like: Armor: Cloth, Leather, Mail, Scale, Plate… Weapons: Spear and Pike, Sword and Shield, Great Sword, Blunt weapons, Bow, Crossbow, Sling, Javelin…
But the only thing we seriously need, is the ability to change general skills

Oh, I just think the more customization we have, the more replay value. If we already had Gens skills customization, maybe they should add the ability to customize unit weapons; not every weapons can be chosen, 2 is enough. Or we can spend resources to upgrade weapon/armor of units, one unit type only is ok. In example, we can choose New Infantry to have Rifle or Light machine gun… Nevertheless, it’s very hard to keep the game balance if things be customized

You mean like arming your men with better weapons? It would benefit a lot of units to have extra options for weapon, armor,... I really like your idea

However, it is what made EW6 1914 more possible than 1804...

So my ideas about EW7 diplomacy are that allies will have trade preferences regarding each other (lke using an econ gen in EW4), religion may play a role (it'll be very hard to make an alliance with a country with another religion) ad I alsohope capturing noble prisoners to ask for buyout will be there - a major part of medieval warfare. For example, you always capture enemy general, when his unit is defeated. On the other hand you have a chance to return your general, who would be killed after the death of his unit in other ET games.
