So my ideas about EW7 diplomacy are that allies will have trade preferences regarding each other (lke using an econ gen in EW4), religion may play a role (it'll be very hard to make an alliance with a country with another religion) ad I alsohope capturing noble prisoners to ask for buyout will be there - a major part of medieval warfare. For example, you always capture enemy general, when his unit is defeated. On the other hand you have a chance to return your general, who would be killed after the death of his unit in other ET games. That would be like total war series, thiz game kinda playing chess and the game made perfectly balanced. I don’t think that they would add those complicated matters.

About the generals. I’m eager to play if they add more ability to customize them, though still keep the game balance. In example, we can change general skills once only, only one skill can be changed. Or we can choose to upgrade the max rank of general once, from Duke to Prince if you want (and you can’t change his skill anymore). Or you can add another skill to generals that have 4 skills (and can’t change skill/upgrade max rank anymore). Similarly with units, you can choose to change/spend gold or medal to upgrade the weapon or armor of one common unit type once. And not every weapon/armor can be chosen, keep balance. About skills, I think they should balance the skill effects, to make every skill good if you use them the right way. What do you think if skills negate the effects of fortifications (30% defend max upgrade in EW6) can negate the effects of terrain also (15% defend on mountain/jungle) and/or negate the defend effect of cities?

ET just implied that tech will be nonexistent, or if it is there, you can't use it in conquests.
