Welcome commander, back to Philippines.
You took this island 3 years ago with the japanese forces, and now you're taking it back with an American force.
This is also the moment where we witness MacArthur's historic "I have returned!"
The mission is not difficult, with MacArthur and your allies being rather capable, forcing Yamashita to fight a losing battle.
Without further dallying, let's start!
Mission Objectives: Annihilate the Enemy
Sub-Mission 1: Defeat 15 Enemies in 8 turns
Sub-Mission 2: Defeat Yamashita in 15 turns
Sub-Mission 3: Occupy Manila in 20 turns
Generals Used: MacArthur (Infantry), Patton (Armoured Car), Montgomery (Heavy Tank), Govorov (Heavy Artillery), Nimitz (Battleship), Arnold (Aircraft Carrier)
1. Lack of Troops and Reinforcements.
[Initial troops and approximately 3 reinforcements will be all that you'll work with]
Detailed Breakdown
The landing for this mission is no joke. It's pretty unforgiving if you blunder.
What do I mean by blunder? I'm referring to touching the coastline.
The instant you touch that coastline, nearby enemy troops from the city will attack that troop. "Hello, am die, thank you forever"
Hence, I'll recommend this formation.
Take a good look at this formation. Nimitz and the cruiser, along with MacArthur has neutralised the enemy destroyer, leaving only the coastal artillery as a threat to your landing ships.
More importantly, take a look at the placement of that infantry touching the coastline.
It can only be attacked by the armoured car, ensuring that no other enemy forces swarm it. This will ensure that the other enemy forces will not move from their positions.
This allows your allies to land their medium tank, and wreck some havoc.
I'll recommend that you purchase the aircraft carrier at this point.
Use your ships to support the landing for your infantry, while your generals make the landing through the port.
After you clear the surrounding area of enemy troops, namely the group of infantry located around the radar and land fort, it triggers a reaction.
A generic japanese general will counterattack from the eastern city, so reorganise your troops into a formation that can protect your KV6
I managed to protect the KV6 in this case, but didn't account for my MacArthur's morale being low. You should also watch out for such flanking tactics while organising your troops.
After defeating the Japanese general, allied MacArthur will appear on the map and start attacking the western side of the map.
Personally, I'll leave my MacArthur behind to take the western cities and oil field before paradroping him back into the action.
That's an additional 10 income per turn if you capture the area. Bling Bling.
Alternatively, leave behind an infantry paratrooper to capture the area, and fly MacArthur right into the action.
Shift your mechanised forces downwards, linking up with your allies to roll down the center plains.
As usual, keep an eye on your KV6 and Katyusha, placing them in the backlines.
Every troop in this level is precious due to our lack of troops, keep replenishing if they're low on health!
By the time you reach the south-middle city, you should be amassing a small fortune from all your captured cities.
This is the last place to purchase reinforcements, so stock up and get additional troops before confronting Yamashita towards the south-eastern city.
Stack up everyone that you can afford to.
I'll recommend stacking Kreuger first, since he has leadership.
He'll go forth and continue tanking damage while your KV6 and Katyusha rain fire on Yamashita.
Don't forget to replenish Nimitz in port!
After eliminating Yamashita, do a quick 180 and head towards Manila. Your allies and Nimitz will clear that area.
Raid Manila with brute force and rockets. No finesse, but all's fair in love and war.
After taking Manila, you'll most probably be left with the enemy navy to take care of.
Throw one of your generals on the airport and teach your enemies to fear air superiority!
Congrats, you've reached the end of the briefing! Go out there and help MacArthur liberate the Philippines!
Final notes: My tech level is maxed out, so your experience might be slightly different. Then again, if you're already here, you can't be too far off.
Note 2: Please remember to equip special forces. You'll have quite some excess money. I'll recommend using them on Patton's armoured car.
Note 3: As most Coastal artilleries troops have some form of AA on them, you can consider using the lone paratrooper that landed with your allies in the beginning to assist in clearing them out. You may also choose to simply drive down your Katyusha from the east side like me, clearing the coastal artilleries in the process.
Note 4: Please consider using air support any time that you meet challenging situations. From turn 9 onwards, you should be racking enough money to consider that option.
I hope this guide helps if you have any trouble.
If you have any further questions or discussions, feel free to post them here!

2. Fortified Coastline
[Coastal artilleries manned by AA forces, occupied naval bases capable of replenishing enemy naval forces]
3. Few land fortifications
[Scorpion not required, smooth travels]
4. Island is equipped with many airfields
[Useful for quick transportation of infantry]
5. Mountains along the sides of the island, plains in the middle
[Quick movement of mechanised forces]
6. Numerous towns and factories
[Useful for replenishing after clearing the defending garrisons]
Overall Strategy: Cautious advance, maintain formation to protect your KV6 and Katyusha.
