I've nearly finished with all the challenges and campaign at all difficulties (except for some alien mission on hard). I'm planning to try and get the Space Shuttle wonder in 1960. What is the best country should I go for and what strategies do I need? To be honest, the scale of world conquest looks a bit overwhelming as I have never played conquest before . (Also, I tried 1960 as Poland yesterday and got nuked by UK in second turn ). Military capacity: All max level gold-metal-oil wonders Level 11 for infantry, tank, artillery, navy and max almost everything else, including Ion canon (550 dmg, 3 turns cool down) Available general: Yamashita, Goring, Guderian, Yamamoto, Govorov, Vasilevski. Also 1 artillery commander, 1 tank commander and 1 infantry commander.

1) don't build Space tech and wonder until you have all tech and wonders to max. 2)Conquests in 1960 asks for patiente and skill. 3)Poland is not a frendly 1960 starter country try UK, France or USSR and read some of our guides

Like Oskar said, start from 1939 and work your way till 60, going directly to 60 is just suicidal (trust me, I did the same as Portugal, then restarted the game)
Are your eye-covered generals fully upgraded? Or somewhere in the mid?

Recommended countries: 1939 UK, Japan, ROC, Spain, Finland, Bulgaria, Greece; 1943 UK, USSR, Germany, ROC, Egypt; 1950 UK, France, USA, Spain, Japan, Turkey, Belgium, Portugal, ROC; 1960 UK, PRC, Italy, Iran. 3. If you do 1960 I would suggest Germany. But that is for endgame like Erich von Manstein said start as Axis 1939.

But yes all the general i mentioned above are either generals or marshals. eye covered generals are the 3 free generals you get at certain hq levels. so basicelly those 3 free generals with 1 star in everything except movement. we call them eyecovered because if you watch closely, you see that all of those generals eyes are covered

The eye covered generals are useful for a bit. I'd follow some of the tips above, upgrade them a bit, and, when you're read, trade them in for better generals:P
