Seriously, though I am better than an average joe in strategy, but even with 4-6-6-5-1 tech, I didn't beat even a single '39 Allied army group. I tried a few described below :
1. Yugoslavia Second Army Group : Went good initially. Steamrolled Axis in the Balkans and mainland Italy. However, all my allies were dead, I had too many fronts and it basically became a stalemate. (same for first army group)
2. Denmark Army Group - Got to Berlin...stalemate
3. French Army group South - Blown away Italy, but Yugoslavia died and so did my French Allies (And other allies too for that matter). The Germans attacked my long front on the north and it became a stalemate.
4. French Center - It's impossible to progress on 2 sides simultaneously. And if I don't, either Germany or Italy gets too strong. Stalemate 4.0
5. British Army Group - Same as Denmark, but got a bunch of cities more.
What are your thoughts and tips for this?

What are your thoughts and tips for this? Quick question, what generals do you have? Guderian, Rommel, Leeb, Donitz, Yamashita, Kesselring, MacArthur, Govorov, Vatutin. I use 1,2,3,8,9, Chuikov, then transfer Chuikov and get Donitz if needed.

I personally did what you were doing back then, stacking generals with a ton of troops and drawing out big fights, slowly progressing through the map.
However, I realised after looking at several other playthroughs in the record book that speed is likely more important than long drawn out fights.
My strategy follows those speed devils now. Use small efficient formations to break through the enemy area.
A 4 star infantry general like MacArthur with 3 stacks and a special force can handle almost 3 infantry units and kill them all solo. Small formations such as 2 double stacked armoured cars can speed through infantry. Paratroopers, airlift and mass airlift can move your troops into key zones, or even as a diversion to move enemies from the front. You can even experiment and do some trolling with that in 1941. Airlift a full set of infantry, then iron will them. Poof, a set of tanks right in enemy territory.
The important part is to have a blitzing force, that can penetrate within enemy lines and take key factories, before purchasing from those factories to secure the area.
Don't unecessarily lengthen your front. If there are harmless enemy tiles blocking the next hostile army group from advancing, let the natural blockade stay and consolidate your position. In the long run, if you have more cash, you can also place an air general to blow them apart.

Paratroopers, airlift and mass airlift can move your troops into key zones, or even as a diversion to move enemies from the front. My favourite strat. I do the always. You can even experiment and do some trolling with that in 1941. Airlift a full set of infantry, then iron will them. Poof, a set of tanks right in enemy territory. Ooo...Never tried that. Good one.The important part is to have a blitzing force, that can penetrate within enemy lines and take key factories, before purchasing from those factories to secure the area. See point 1.
Don't unecessarily lengthen your front. If there are harmless enemy tiles blocking the next hostile army group from advancing, let the natural blockade stay and consolidate your position. Been doing that. In the long run, if you have more cash, you can also place an air general to blow them apart. Air generals range is just too short, but I will consider.

John Marston, Looking at your concerns, let me tell my midgame strat when if I drag on for too long. 1. If you haven't been doing so, play defensively during enemy attacks, especially when you're on a factory. Literally send all 6 troops to the backline to waste time. Less troops destroyed = more money saved. 2. Save up some money on a front. Upgrade to a heavy factory. You already know what's coming. Rommel and Leeb with KV6s. Armoured cars and infantry in front to act as human and scouting shields. No one can stop those two. Brute force each tile until you reach a factory, replenish, move on and leave behind a pile of tanky troops to hold it.

Gosh, I never place gens during AG, but my favorite Allied ones are definitely French Center, which has easy access to the most powerful German AG as well as Italy, so some good infantry can sort them out, and Britain, which essentially just takes Denmark with Monty and Pals, and North France with Dowding and pals. Both very simple. If I want a challenge, Western Poland is great fun.
As for Eastern Front, my favorites are AG South and AG North, preferably AG North. Pay off AG South, destroy Govorov, and swing and encircle Moscow with Leeb, who is undoubtedly good, particularly on Heavy Artillery with Karl/Elefant, I can't remember which one North gets. Kuechler can work wonders with a Wiking. On the Allied side, Leningrad Front is nice and Fun. Take Finland, then Worth your way south while paying off Yugoslavia.
Lastly on N. Africa, the Italians and French are awesome. Italian North Takes Greece and lands in Algeria while sending Messe and an Infantry to Egypt. Italian south is very straightforward. French North gets TASSIGNY! Take Italian North, Greece, then move south. French South is a tad Harder, but they do get Paratroopers and can easily get German B and the front of Italian South Neutralized.
