Choose which Naval Battle is better and Explain why by replying
This is my opinion on the matter: For me It would be Leyte Gulf Since It Had A total of 300+ ships partaking in the battle. Even though it Didnt have any major significance in History It was still a giant battle that made almost the Entire Japanese fleet get destroyed

Its Not up there, But I think one of the greats was the naval battle of Guadalcanal. Also, I don't really think the battle of the Philippine sea deserves to be on the list.

The clear best one was the one where the Titanic put its guns against some iceberg.

Trafalgar. "It ensured British naval dominance for another century" - Oversimplified. I completely agree on that statement.

Leyte Gulf had 200K personnel involved. It paved the way for Okinawa, Taiwan, Manila and the A-bomb on Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

The US naval forces outnumbered the japanese forces 4:1. Almost 80% of those 300 ships belonged to the US. The japanese only had one fleet carrier in that battle, the Zuikaku, and she was effectively useless due to a lack of planes and pilots. Her only role was to serve as a decoy, in hopes that the other ships could defend leyte. It was entirely a case of the big green machine steamrolling an already weakened and floundering navy, I fail to see the significance there. It's understandable if it were two giant navies fighting each other, that would've been significant, 150 vs 150. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case

Wasn't really pointing out to the historical and odds standpoint of it rather the numerical one mmm so based on the number of ships deployed amiright? Then consider this hypothetical scenario, if you would humour me. A fleet of american ships, carriers, destroyers, battleships, submarines numbering close to 1000 is heading to Britain as reinforcements. Along the way, they concidentally catch 5 surfaced submarines refuelling from a tanker. They engage, start a battle, and promptly sink all 5 submarines before carrying on their merry way with no casualties on their side. On record, it would have listed 1000+ ships present. Now for the million dollar question. Is this battle significant?

To be fair to the Japanese, the Koreans were way better equipped.

To be fair to the Japanese, the Koreans were way better equipped. but for 13 ships to defeat 330 warships thats still amazing, only a third were suited warships but the rest could still fire in close range When Yi got replaced the Korean navy got handed to by some cannonless ships
