this seems too good to be true but it's possible to not take any damage at all (stay at 100% health entire game), just tedious. You need blitzkrieg/artillery non-retaliation, cover and to know how to s/l (stands for save/load) which i will explain how to do.
So when you are attacking, you can trigger blitzkrieg. I've already explained in another thread how you can trigger skills but i will just quickly repeat. You need to hit enemy once and if you either see the blitzkreig skill show or enemy doesn't shoot back, you can continue with game. If you don't see it trigger, you have to quickly press pause before the attack animation finishes, leave the game and rejoin, it will allow you to hit again and keep doing this until you get desired skill. To make things easy, i always have my finger hovering the pause button when i attack so i don't need fast reaction/timing - anyone can do.
Now when it's enemy's turn to attack and defend, what you can do is not skip the enemy and watch the fight. When you see the enemy is about to hit your general and then hits them, you should look to see if the cover skill triggers, if it doesn't then you can pause, leave game and rejoin, the enemy will hit you again and you keep doing this until the cover skill triggers. This seems hard/annoying to do but it's not. What i do is i set the game speed to maximum/fastest and when the map moves to your general, you know enemy is going to hit you, and i slow down gamespeed and i have my finger ready over the pause button.
I've tested this and it works. It can be annoying to do but the higher your skills level, the more chance they trigger and it will be faster. I don't recommend doing this for regular scenario missions but if you are struggling on a super hard mission, this can help you win. You just need to pay attention to what you are doing and it will take longer than normal, but atleast you will progress and you won't be stuck.
For people who don't want to S/L, the cover skill is obviously useless. This was just an experiment i wanted to do and if you want to try it for yourself, you can.
