lettowvorbeck, Definitely sell Rundstedt and get Konev. Infantry isn`t so important comparing to navy and artillery especially in the mid-game. After that I`d recommend getting Nimitz and then Rommel. Or Kuznetsov instead of Nimitz if you have no spare medals to spend. IMO unupgraded Nimitz isn`t much more superior to Kuznetsov.

I would say, if you don't mind sell Rundstedt, but you can keep him if you want. Then Konev -40% should be doable with your generals so get him, after that go for Rommel/Rokossovski and then a navy admiral, preferably Dönitz if possible, because he is the best. Then, get Rommel/Rokossovski again depending on were you able to get Rommel -40% discount. Don't get Rommel without full discount, but get him before Rokossovski if you are able to get -40% discount. After that you have got a solid 4-2-1 line up which in my opinion you should just upgrade until you complete all scenarios. Then you can get a second navy: Nimitz/Mountbatten, Mannerheim/Rundstedt if you kept him for frontier, Timošenko/Graziani as an upgrade to Messe or an air general like Arnold or Dowding.
