So, I've noticed that the Washington monument isn't very popular, since it costs medals. But I realized that it benefits a niche of people.
So, most people have either always owned Manstein, or have never owned Manstein. However, for the people who have gotten used to buying Messe to get to Guderian, and then buy Manstein, the Washington monument is useful.
Reason is, your used to spending 550 on Messe, then get to Guderian that way. If you buy Manstein after the fact, on a new run, you have a much better tank general. The problem however, is that you have no resources.
So what you can do is buy the monument, which costs less then Messe, and now you have an amazing tank general, and resources.

I'm F2P and the main reasons I got WM was:
1. 500 medals for daily resources is cheaper than trades and conquests are long.
2. I'm not gonna use the medals for anything else (besides cheap Messe), and using WM earnings for tech helps me complete conquests (once) for medals.
3. I don't get anything on the scale of WM anytime near early game.
4. The legion's best troops are very expensive (when mass produced) and I will need the resources to cover losses.
WC4's early game is generous and allows you to farm tons of campaigns when you get Guderian and Konev/Leeb and allows you to make that 500 medals back easily.

Warlord247, well, 500 medals isn't that much. I mean yeah, medals are never enough, but it's ok to spend 500 medals once to get constant income in the future. And you need to upgade your tech anyway so WM is good. I did not buy it myself, but I had Borobudur, Chichen Itza and Christ the Redeemer that make more or less the same effect combined.

Agreed, I bought it when the update came, I also bought Auchinleck(and then did the weirdest way to get gens), anyway, I messed up, So with the WM I got quite a lot of help with the tech level so I was able to use better units, which helped in the conquests, I personally recommend it but Make sure you take care on which gen path will you be going, cause I sometimes contemplated on this decision, but I have fixed the mess, so again recommend it.
