After many years of conquering the world in the modern era of world conqueror 2/3/4, I decided to take a shot on European war, 4.
Different graphics, different combats, and I don't know with what general should I start first.

Different graphics, different combats, and I don't know with what general should I start first. Welcome popicacusaufarafrica. If You don't want't to spend money for IAP, I recommend to play the first 20 to 30 campaigns without buying any commander. In EW4 the best generals are free ! (princess). Start get confident with the battle mechanics (flanking is important) with the starting missions without anyone in your headquarter. And when the game becomes too hard, to achieve 5⭐, we will give you help to pick up the first girls with a sucessfull conquest. Try to finish as fast as possible! Many missions may become hard after a grand victory: Imo it is most times easier to achieve 5⭐ than to finish with 3⭐ slowly! Enjoy, and ask for every hints you need. |

I recommend you getting a Dumouriez.
1) he’s cheap
2) he has good stars and surprise (one of the best skill for cavalry)
3) he’s a trainer so you’ll need him sooner or later

Different graphics, different combats, and I don't know with what general should I start first. I agree with what 𝘛𝘳𝘰𝘵𝘴𝘬𝘺 has said. Play the campaigns and conquest and get a feel of the game first. Understand the game mechanics. Develop some understanding of different units. This game is very expensive in terms of medals. But don't worry, you can get top tier generals (Princesses) just by finishing the conquests quickly and accumilating resources. Just spend your medals wisely and you'll do fine with just minimal grinding as described here. And as always, we're here to help  |

I don't know if they finally implemented a save state for the game, but it's not a good idea to buy generals or medals if it doesn't have a save state yet. Speaking from experience. It's more fun to play it without purchases anyway. |

I don't know if they finally implemented a save state for the game, but it's not a good idea to buy generals or medals if it doesn't have a save state yet. Speaking from experience. It's more fun to play it without purchases anyway. They haven't yet... I feel like they're releasing updates for all games except EW4 (Even WC3). ET basically turned their backs on the game which gave them popularity and an international forum (This one). I know they have their reasons like it being an old game, old mechanics and blah blah blah. |
