After a serious discussion about what General Sertorius was like, I tested him and Vercingetorix on the battlefield as a punching bag. Because of the accuracy of the test, I gave them exactly the same items. First go Sertorius The general just sits in the city and does nothing but defend against the opponent, only attacks the archers. Here are the results. Then go Vercingetorix We do the same thing The result is such that Vercingetorix has proven to be a better punching bag.

And these are the results when Vercingetorix gets the best items and realizes its full potential It becomes one blow beast Which allows it to save far more hp

Also, the results would be more interesting if you give Sertorius the banner of Vulcan. Number wise, it simply comes down to how good shield wall is vs Sertorius' talent.

Deleted,I tried 5 times and these are average results, only once Sertorius was better by a modest 5 hp.

Just do the math. The formula of damage received after being reduced by unit defense (let's call it d) is (9d+1850)/(28d+1850), let's call this f(d).
For Sentry, the expected damage taken is 0.15f(2d)+0.85f(d). For level 1 Shield Wall, it's 0.06[f(d)/2]+0.94f(d)=0.97f(d).
For them to have the same effect, 0.15f(2d)=0.12f(d), which means they are equal only when f(d)=1.25f(2d), which is impossible as long as d is positive.
Conclusion: Shield Wall > Sentry.

Deleted ,I tried 5 times and these are average results, only once Sertorius was better by a modest 5 hp. Yeah, the result will be obvious because of the numbers, but it would look more convincing to others with more testing.
