I've been playing this game for 2 wks now and I like it. Apparently you only get the max gold if you 3* these expeditions and conquests. You will still get the daily bonus just by simply conquering the stage. But I did get 3* on the last conquest even if I blitz through the stage. I've skipped several 'battle' hexes.
