Skills:Desperate (S) - Unless you plan on using him as a kamikaze demoralizer, I don't see the perk of having this skill besides maybe some chip morale. I guess it's good for general v. general fights?
Tide of Iron (G) - 5/5 great skill, no objections.
Anti-Armor (S) - I would rather have this be PL, but this works because Vatutin has monster damage.
Cost: 720 medals isn't that much compared to other generals such as Guderian, but I would rather get someone like Roko with ~100 more medals. Stars: 4*s in tanks, 3*s in health, and 0*s in movement hurt him a lot. Speed can be solved with smacking a SF on him, but I would rather give that SF to someone else. Heath also isn't a big deal, but I would recommend investing in HP because Desperate kinda revolves around CATs.
Uses: Not in HTs, there are 2 HT SFs and the best HTer (Roko) has no defensive skills. And Monty is still better than Vatutin, so you can be swinging double HT generals and SFs, leaving Vatutin behind. The reason this is a big deal is that HTs are slow, that's why they need PL to have 2 chances to attack instead of one. Vatutin hits like has silver PL in ToI and AA, but you want gold PL, not silver.
In MTs, maybe. He is outclassed by Patton, as Patton has Blitzkrieg, but Patton has inferior damage, so you can use Vatutin as a high-risk-slightly-higher-reward type of Patton. MTs are faster, and though the SF problem isn't solved, it's reduced by a bit by only one competitor (with Blitzkrieg) and MTs being fast. Vatutin is just Patton with more damage, but less survivability. MTs need survivability more than damage, they are charging into enemies, possibly 2+ ranged.

Vavutin 100% not good for heavy tanks . He have no hits , his damage is nice but no hits , ya can put Sf like kv6 on him but still+need Sf for hit So best option is medium tank but vavutin<patton so dont buy him You need anti tank ? Get roko , you need survivability ? Get patton, heavies ? Monty and roko ( also patton ) |

nah mate , roko is the 2nd best heavy tanks general , he also decent at medium , he have hits , anti tank ( can hit both tank and inf on heavy tank ) , he just hit weaker than monty
his only problem is the 3 stars tank
heavy tank generals
1.monty
2.roko
3.patton ( actually good , can deal with heavy tank +artillery with blitzkreig )
4. vavutin ( desperately lack of hits , slow af , only tides of iron is good )
