jonblend, I misunderstood your first reply . Second, the thing about cleopatra is you might miss the performance of your other generals while she's around. Her goal is to pretty much just do her thing and live. For Land battles, she's not the best, but compared to other cheap generals, she's the best. Agrippa will look better as infantry usually perform better than archers. The other good generals are usually 150+medals more. It's better to just skip Sicilian decisive battles at first really. And you won't spend too much medals from selling and reselling. At most, 100 medals are spent. So yeah, focusing on cavalry for the Han decisive battles is the goal. In short, naval generals aren't worth buying aside from completing the Sicilian decisive battles for completion purposes. And you can also just buy generals with rare talents later on, as a loss of 2 medals from missions isn't too much of a big deal in the short run, and in the long run, even if we say you lost a thousand medals from missing them, you'd probably have maxed most of your generals, bought all items and have a lot of medals lying around.

hrabrimalitoster, you wish you could beat me boomer . I'm more of a toxin general myself, but I do love me some king raptors. You were so confident that no one would break your record of 8 turns with Carthage, we both know in the end what happened.😎 And I’m not a boomer, I’m 28, I just started playing strategies back in kindergarten.😂

Yeah this is my stance on admirals and drill generals in general in this game. I just think those guys aren’t profitable to get. This btw, is why I don’t consider price a serious factor when comparing admirals. You should be getting them when medals have very little value. I.e. when you’ve got everything else you could need. However, ASSUMING we can’t reasonably beat the sicilian DB without admirals, you COULD get one to get the Ganjiang Sword. Not sure if that’s how it goes, it might very well be possible to get it without one. But you could essentially look at it like paying the price of the admiral for the sword. It’s essentially a worse Golden Spear, but it competes for the less contested artifact slot.

Hehe , I didn't mention their naval powers because you, stoic and hrabrimalitoster already covered that and I think the next update will come soon (banner of Neptune??). But yes, they are literally OP in such a way that we can ask if we need so much niche power.

I was just making it dramatic so someone would do it, as I was lazy to do it myself. And I'm 22, I was reading books about astronomy when I was in kindergarten, so I dunno, you'll still lose to me because when you start playing has no bearing in how I beat you boomer

jonblend, hopefully the banners are good. They're not really needed, but If they give march then that would be neat.

Basically not much of a factor . They should've added harder naval battles outside skippable content ngl.

I am quite preoccupied with other ET games at the moment, but since we have an interesting argument I decided to challenge an assumption we all share to a certain extent, namely: "we need an admiral to complete Sicilian DB with a perfect result". But do we really need him or her, or is it a false assumption? Well, at least for the rebels' side we DON'T need any admiral at all! And for the sake of the argument I don't even have a second Navy uniform (since I don't have FB account ) and I don't swap equipment. Here we go: Battle 1 no losses. no restarts Battle 2 No losses No restarts Battle 3 No losses No restarts Battle 4 No losses one restart Battle 5 Losses are irrelevant No restarts Conclusion If we can complete all naval DB like this - then purchasing any hybrid general is a waste of resources. It's better to invest our medals into something else.

hrabrimalitoster, napoleon learned from Caesar. Caesar learned from Alexander. Alexander learned from his father. Scipio learned from Hannibal. I'm simply learning from the best . Besides, my philosophy is to adapt without feeling sentimental for the past(if history has shown us anything, it's that holding on to outdated values leads us to losing spectacularly) That's what happened to the Prussians in 1806 when they thought they could handle Napoleon's Grand army when they were still using Frederick the great's tactics, which were outdated. They learned tho, so good for them. Also, Augustus was learning astronomy when he was named the heir to Caesar, so it must be destiny that I too, read about astronomy .Now that I'm thinking about it, I should write about Prussians and how they managed to become the powerhouse they were in the mid to late 19th century due to military reforms. Learning from others aside, I am confident of victory. I would let you know tho, I am not know to play clean .

stoic, that's nice to see. I think my strategy of buying and reselling is quite wasteful then. That said tho, I'm curious what the level of your generals are, as I entered the Sicilian decisive battles with only 9 generals, with them not being maxed except for my commander. Would help in my guide about decisive battles, for those who want to brute force decisive battles. But the consensus seems to be that@kevin1 and your PoV is right. Good to know.

Now that I'm thinking about it, I should write about Prussians and how they managed to become the powerhouse they were in the mid to late 19th century due to military reforms. Too late,my friend, Robert Citino already did it. "The German Way of War: From the Thirty Years' War to the Third Reich" University Press of Kansas. ISBN 0-700-61410-9 OCLC 61362770
