Yes. My great grandfather was a WW2 guerilla in the Philippines when he was 12 years old! He would cook for the Japanese, after cooking he would go back to his fellow guerillas and tell the Japanese plans. He was basically a spy. But he died on 2017.

Cousin fought in Afghanistan, dad was an american reservist, dads side of the family, his mom's brother fought the British in Ireland in the 70s-90s I think, her dad fought in the second world war. Grandfather fought for America in Viet Nam. His dad fought WWI and WWII. 3x Great Grandfather and his brothers fought in the American Civil War. Their ancestors were Green Mountain Boys and the Governor of Vermont (theres a county named after us there, pretty cool).
On mom's side her father was aerial photography for West Germany but was technically in the US air force. Long story I don't quite understand. Opa's dad fought in the Wehrmacht, and so did his brothers, everyone else in the family left for the US. Their dad didn't fight in WWI, but he did have a general store that was used as a field hq by the army. I always thought that was interesting.

Yes, My grandpa fought as a WW2 Guerilla fighter in the Philippines when he was 23 He had 20 men under his command They raided towns and villages regularly to get fresh supplies and would occasionally raid Japanese Communication lines By the end of 1944 his forces were dwindling but his forces were saved by ofc the Philippine campaign by America He would still fight the Japanese but with American support after the war he migrated to where I live now.
He passed away 2 years ago...
I also have a great great uncle who fought in the Philippine-American War as the Colonel of a small platoon in Albay I don't know too much about him but my Father said that he died while doing a suicidal charge against enemy positions when the commanding general of American forces said that they will execute any remaining rebel forces.

I got some relatives in WW2. My grandfather's grandfather and his wife. They live in the Philippines, and in the war, they choose to live underground and cook in underground so that they can't be capture or spot by the Japanese Army.
They survive the war!!
