What is the best cav general in your opinion, that's not an IAP? I heard good things about sulkowski or dombroski I forget which one, I know Golitsyn is really good from campaigns and I've used Wittgenstein in the past and I know he's good. I've gotten so many mixed responses from this question in the past that I still haven't gotten one out of fear of making the wrong choice.

Berthier is one of the best (possibly underrated) one out there, especially for speed running Conquest The only downside of him is pumping loads of medals towards upgrading his Cavalry or Mobility stars with Trainers. At least you don’t have to waste a slot for War Horse as Berthier has Geography.

I’ll go for Murat as he already has 5 stars on Cavalry but missing Strike, one of the most crucial ability, but still as long he is on Guard Cavalry (Doesn’t matter what unit but I found it to be more effective), he is a literal walking fort obliterator. 𝓐𝓲𝓼𝓪𝓴𝓪 , I don’t think you read the title of the thread correctly. He is talking about Non IAP Generals.

For Cavalry generals the key skill is strike. Strike allows cavalry to attack without an evasion bonus. The 4 non IAP cavalry generals with strike are Berthier,Golitsyin,Sulkowski,Junot, and Lan.
Junot is too slow to be effective.
Berthier requires a huge investment in trainers to approach the last 3. Even then the return on investment is minimal- an additional hex on light and heavy cavalry. I don't think he's worth it. Golitsyin has the best stars (speed and attack)
Lan has good stars and unique skill of leadership (one of 3 no n IAP s with leadership)
Sulkowski has the skill of spy. Only non IAP with the combination of spy and an anti evasion skill (strike, accuracy, bugle)
Any of the last 3 are a good choice.

Sakurako is actually not a bad choice either. Her movement is a game changer.

Maybe Berthier if you are willing to pump him full of medals? Apart from Lan, the next best is Sulkowski.

Charles has some good skills as well but compared to the top tier he doesn't cut it.
