Definitely, St. Cyr, Wellington, Kutuzov. St. Cyr was the best Defensive commander of France. By far. A lot. Crazy awesome. Like Heinrici level. Because Defense is more important than offense, he is IMO the best commander of France. Kutuzov mastered the art of retreat, and his strategy single-handedly destroyed the most dangerous French army of all time. Wellington, the conqueror of the world's conqueror. Kicked Suchet's butt in Spain and Nappy's at Waterloo. Pretty much exclusively was grossly outnumbered in his battles, and the greatest defensive mind in history. Ranked as the third best commander behind Napoleon and Caesar, he is... The only one not to be a gen in EW5. Apart from that, I place him ahead of the other two merely for his emphasis on defensive warfare. In addition, he made a great prime minister. ( don't want to be too critical here , so take this with a pinch of salt ) Wellington had not beaten suchet actually , unless you mean Soult who he beat multiple times and jourdan , though beating the latter was not much of an achievement , but nevertheless his manuerveres into France indeed caused Suchet to abandon Spain , but St Cyr is definetly underrated though I would not say best defensive , he was a gifted commander though there were better , and for Kutuzov he didnt really single handedly destroy the french , more of it is attributed to barclay de tolly and Prince Bagration with their skillful retreats to elude the french , while the Tsar's fabian strategy ( along with the summer heat i must add ) was equally crucial to its destruction , i got a pretty dumb joke since wellington is world conqueror , then wc4 should be renamed wellintong 4
