Hello! I've been a lurker on this forum for a while. I recently completed the game with archcom and while that is my favorite by far. I wanted to try a cavcom. I tried infcom but it's too slow for my taste. So I'm looking for suggestions on a cavcom team and item suggestions for them. What would my final team and items be? I'd love some thoughts. Thank you!

As for final team i suggest 8 cavs 3 arty 3 arch 2 inf. I assume u r f2p and thus suggest attila, suri as must. Then suleiman and blucher as farm gens. Charle and saladin to be arch punch-bags. And rest two to ur choice, u can go for other comms or any u like. I suggest edward and hannibal(genghis if p2p) .
In arty go for bismark khalid and Cleopatra. In arch go for nobby nelson and pachuti. In inf go for petain and barbarossa. U may choose some different. And know that this is 16 gen team. Ur best 8 are ur 8 gen team with four cavs 3 arch and 1 arty.

What do you mean by farm generals? And li shimin not included in arty, is that purely due to expense or?

Yups to both of you. By farm i mean gens u need to save up for once u cant pass a certain lvl or finished the most of game and progress is now slow. As for lishimin i calculate he will be too costly for the lineup cause many are purple and those three are enough although it all depends on u. U may use shimin rather than cleo but the prob is u will waste on li when u should be using on attila. I calculated all of them wisely so i guess u should stick mostly to it or ask like u did in case of shimin.

Sounds good. Thanks for the info! And what do you think about the late game item combinations. Is there anything special I need to think about or the typical 2 item combos for rage regen on the commanders and only Odin as a full set. And just placing legendary actives on non commanders? I used to use mysteltainn on Attila in arch com but I suppose here that's a bad idea?

I like ur positive response.
In equips, first thing dont buy anything that is deceptive.
Second choose ur gens for tht match wisely. This according to me is biggest draw back of cav comm.
Third give ur gens high and equitable stats(atleast hp). Like odin arena* paladin on suri or edward. Heal on attila gmask. Now one kinda important thing. If u have both genghis and sulieman then u will also have both bottle and gungnir. Use iap on iap and gun on sul.

If u have bottle then no need to waste on g mask. Myl can be better used on arch or arty. |

He is going for CavCom and Nelson is solely for ArchCom. Pachacuti can be a team player but that's going to take forever. I'd go for someone like Moctezuma or Mulan instead. |

To be honest i am so much addicted to some of them. I would again suggest a comm(honzong) as a replacement and as for pac i may say jebe or Washington or moctezuma. |

First you say choose your gens for that match wisely? What exactly do you mean by that? As in different gens for late game missions dependant on enemy units and strengths? Second I'm not planning to do and iaps at the moment so no ghengis or bottle unfortunately. And yeah it's unfortunate patchachuti takes agees to get. But until then I suppose li could be a replacement? And Nelson probably will only be for late game more than 8 comps no? With 2 com he should be okay. As for the 6 gen team only gonna use Nobunaga, right?

Yup to the rest of it. By choosing i meant that smtimes losing comm(for example edward) or cavs which will be useless for that specific. I even remember that when i did cav comm run i did the anti japan missions without a single cav. And u will know it once u reach there cause u xan always ask😁

Yeah thank you! I have already noticed that a huge issue will be lack of leadership in cavalry. With Edward being the only one who has it.

This is my modified CavCom team, it's my first run but I've looked at a lot of advice and I've completed most stuff aside from Ragnarok and the last few hard mode eras.
Front Line: Attila, Suriothai, Blucher, Edward
Archers: Nobunaga, Li Hongzang
Art: Li Shimin, Bismark.
These guys are a bit expensive at times, so my B team is mostly free/super affordable
Mulan, Barbarossa, Pachacuti, Beowulf, Leonidas, Alexander, Saladin
I've tried to concentrate all my active artifacts on non-commander generals, then balance out legendary eq so that the whole A team is pretty strong.
My team kinda sucks in Legion Arena though, so to get Pachi I was grinding away in regular arena.
Anyway, I'm having a lot of fun with my crew, so I thought I'd share.
