So im on the American Campaign ( the naval mission ) and im wondering whether to buy move trainers for my Berthier , he has the quality saddle currently ( add 2 mobility ) along with 5 stars calvary ( other generals are ney and grouchy fyi. Ney being maxed rank and all 3 with maxed nobility while berthier and grouchy having 125 rank ) , or to get more items ( currently have snare drum and quality saddle ) which i would like suggestions , if not to get a 4th general of Oudinot. ( medals are not too much a problem cause i have a medal farm like most players  )Would appreciate the feedback , thanks in advance |

( medals are not too much a problem cause i have a medal farm like most players )Would appreciate the feedback , thanks in advanceΒ With the quality saddle and geography, Berthier should be able to move 4 hexes on light and heavy cav, and 3 on guard cav, so you can delay adding movement stars for a while. Get either a fourth general or a warhorse. |

If you are only playing 4 slots you should wait until your other 3 generals are trained as you want before adding a 4th general.

Do you have a War Horse for Ney or Grouchy ? Armored carrierr, second snair ...... (I usually start with my first trainers, After! I have all Items I desire.) ... I also would absolutely wait with blocking the fourth slot, Michel Ney , Prince of Moscova. It seems that you didnt't do any movement training for now; Got Berthier already his 5th economy star ? PS. If I understood You correct, you are in the 4. campaign US ? The campaign with some naval missions is campaign 6 SnS (GB)-- |

Not just their unit. You have to be absolutely sure your three generals don't need any kind of regroupment anymore before filling the last slot. Think about whether you need to upgrade their movement and/or navy stars. So far, your best last slot filler is Marmont. Give Ney some infantry stars if you think you'll need an infantry general. |

For cavalary and artillery, with items, +1, +4, +7, +10 movement are necessary to bring the top units one hex further. Berthier can use two saddle during movement, so you want him later with at least 3 movement stars. |

Berthier was Napoleons most expensive general, and so in EW4 - 3600ποΈ just for his trainer iirc. Not all need 5β movement, you have to look at their skills: IE: Grouchy 2β movement
2 for engeneering
2 artillery
= +6 movement Remember (1,4,7...), so Grouchy needs 1 Diez and he can move heavy artillery 4 instead of 3 hex - this is a big improvement. |

HMmmm... What about Oudinot?
I've use him a lot since I can't refresh to get Dobeln. The items of my Oudinot is Tall boot and Ferguson rifle and it helps me a lot of campaigns. Although buying Oudinot is expensive but it's worth it to get him if you have more than 4 slots but won't recommend 4 slots players for having Oudinot.

He only has one artillery specialist, so he has to secure another one. There's no space for Oudinot. |
