Okay, my four slots for third infantry are these: Sertorius - For obvious reasons. Essentially a better, slower Crassus IMO. And because I don't value speed much (read: at all), Sertorius gets the spot for city cracker. Burebista - See this: european-war-4.boards.net/post/307987 The conquest option. Scouting makes life a heck of a lot easier, and the anti-archer mechanisms and roar are simply fantastic in archer general heavy conquests like Caesar Time or Rome and Han. He loses value in campaigns just due to scouting being less needed and a city cracker being better. Agrippa - Essentially Burebista, but trade Scouting and MF for insane Naval capabilities. Finally, my personal favorite, Cassius. He is an ABSOLUTE BOSS for non-city campaigns. Extra cheap, has two great skills and an amazing talent, really good at hitting geerals due to both ambush and Rumor, he is amazing. Plus, he looks really really cool. In fact, he is essentially a worse Verc with Jungle, Ambush, Formation equal to fearless. This means that Verc has Roar, Shield Wall, and 2 stars on his Rumor. For half the price. And I cannot tell you how good Rumor is when paired with something like Ambush. Paulus had it right with Pedius. You're really saying that formation is equal to fearless and price matters? I do like Cassius too though. Also, if you like silver alternatives, why don't you try Cicero instead of Burebista.

I have tried Cicero, he is great, but I can't say that I like Tunnel, especially without Siege. Fantastic city Cracker, though, with Tunnel and Torch. Really good. Formation is +11% every 5-6 turns, while Fearless is like +5% every 2-3 turns.

I completely misread the first sentence and thought these were your 4 infantry generals I agree with the first one, Sertorius is equal/better in terms of combat capabilities, but slower. I don't have to think about it though, I have both but use neither. Burebista is really underrated. He's like a Labienus with Scouting. Pedius is no doubt one of the best bronze generals in the game and he was my second general. Today I even spent 65 medals on the Pharaoh's Scepter to have a cool item on him, I guess it goes well with Torch. Cassius and Cicero are both pretty good imo and I'll surely get them after Wei, Labienus and Commius. They could even fit in my campaign lineup if medals were a problem in this game. But as medals are so easy to get, cheaper alternatives just sadly don't get their time to shine (not saying medals should be hard to get). Doesn't mean they would be useless though. Also, Cicero and Cassius are probably the two most famous non IAP generals in the game after Octavian of course. Also, is it annoying that I comment on every single of your opinions on generals in the GCR and WC4 boards?

I got Bato as my second infantry general and I am happy with his performance. Pretty tanky and not terrible damage. I didn't find a noticeable difference in speed but perhaps he just needs some investment. As an infantry general, I don't think Vercingetorix deserves a morale item. Belisarius has one and Mithridates/my commander gets the other. However, we can give him an oration. Oration lasts 3 turns so we should be able to cover him. I use Bato too. Was going to get him as a first or second infantry general, but eneded up getting Vercingetorix, Pompeius and Crassus first. Now using him instead of Crassus and he is no doubt pretty good.
