It tells you how many people have liked your post. The upvote number shows the number of likes. If you give the best reply in the thread, then people can "Accept" your answer and you get +5 upvotes and +1 accepted. As your number of upvotes increase, the silver stars increase and as your number of accepted increases, your gold stars increase. It only works in the game boards though. It was meant to show which members contribute good information to the game boards, but it's really bugged. We often get the guru rank of other members and sometimes, you get -1 or -2 accepted answers. |
