Hi all, Since I'm new in this community, I want to hear everyone's opinion on these two items and I have make a table by using Oudinot (86/4) in Battle of Three Emperors to test the two items.

In my opinion about these two items. Both of them are good for infantry but I think that Ferguson rifle > Snare drum because Ferguson rifle can produce a good amount of damage to the enemies; as some people says Snare drums is really good like @trosky , omar Bradley and many others but when I buy it, it doesn't impress me a lot with the damage it produces so I would recommend players buy Ferguson rifle than Snare drum.

But snare drum is not for adding damage, it's for keeping damage at maximum even with low health. And there are two slots, so you can give a general both items. If you have two ferguson rifles, just give the general both until he has half health, at that point replace one with snare drum. Additionally, snare drum works with all kind of units, so it's a must-have item, unlike the ferguson rifle

Add 2 of them and you go boom boom. However, when your general is on low health, Snare drum is the best. By using snare drum, you can deal consistence damage even on low health. That means if a general has an average of 60 damage, he deals 60 on max health and deals 60 even on 1 HP!!!However, Snare drum is pretty much useless if a general has Mass fire. Because Mass Fire does the work of Snare drum without using a slot. However, you must remember that not many generals have Mass Fire and Cavalry and Artillery generals do not have Mass Fire equivalent skills. So I'd still advise anyone to buy Snare drums as their first item. And that's why Dobeln > Oudinot

Wlcome ZhuYuanzhang1328 , Put the snair drum on every fighting general that is close to 50% health or lower. It is a swapping item - as long as your general has more than 80% (tripple formation) or 65% (double formation) health it has no effect. So in the beginning of a battle there is no use for it. But when health declines it is extreme helpfull to deal high DMG and earn another cheveron with it's health recovery. This makes the snair so valuable. The only exception are infantry generals with MassFire - they have the drums by skill. SnaiDrums are extremly usefull for Cavallary - they hit often and high but get always a counterattack.

Basically any important general critically low on health. Only exception are those having mass fire.

Don't sleep on the defense items either. I like pairing the snare with the gold cuirass for good survivability.
