What's 1984 about? And why did you like Oleg V. Hlevnjuk's Stalin's biography in particular? Also, it always pays off to have a friend who keeps books just for a showcase (They weren't technically his. Those were his father's books BTW. And guess what I found? FOUNDATION TRILOGY WAAAHOOOO!!!) 1. A fictional world in the year 1984. The world is controlled by three extremely totalitarian regimes: Oceania, Eurasia and East Asia. Basically everything is controlled by the party including spoken and written language (to make it impossible to criticize the leaders), social life and history. Basically it's like Animal Farm, but darker and less metaphorical. Also, the Animal Farm tells what happened in the Soviet Union, 1984 is a true dystopia of what could've happened and still can happen. Also, if you read 1984 and like it, you could like Brave New World as well. 2. Often when you read about people like Stalin you either get viewpoints that praise him to the level of a god or viewpoints who justifiedly criticize him but focus on it so much that the actual matter is lost. However Hlevnjuk manages to keep a neutrally critical viewpoint. He doesn't, by any means praise Stalin or make it seem as he wasn't that bad, but he still focuses on telling about his life. Also despite being full of information it is very well written and it stays interesting from the beginning till the end. He uses a ton of different sources and tells alot of stuff that really helps understamd him and the Soviet Union. Nice! I am willing to provide you the position of "The official Librarian of the Odinson", some nominal powers too

John Marston, our match against Brighton might have not gone as well as it could have, but after left with only a single point against Spurs, you're never going to win your trebles.
