Look at my highscore right quick Where do you live? Sahara desert? Antarctica? Cause that requires a lot of practice and a bad internet connection.

I live in New Orleans. No, I have excellent internet connection it's just the dinosaur game is easy to pull up whenever I have time to spare And your game is 'retro' not dinosaur. So wide screens - no game from another millenium can do this.

... really quiet recently. Really quite indeed. Let me use this moment of silence to make an Adverisement: Try out the extraordinary Three Kingdoms Mod I just restaurated, Warlord247. Happy New Year. And I even want to tag blueberry, who gave a lot of help to my modding with his betatesting.

I've been stuck at the Battle of Crecy since last year. Probably time to catch up by using gems to boost my gens' strength.
If the French cavalry were shot down quite easily in history, why on earth do they need anti-archer war gears in this reenactment? Even two healers weren't enough.

I need to upgrade the longbowmen (currently lvl 8, and it is definitely not enough)

The Battle of Crecy is definitely a notable difficulty bump in the campaign. There are levels with similar design after (no buildings on map) and I found them more manageable than Crecy.

I'm of the opinion that if Epic Wars (EW7) were to be enjoyable, it'd be from being moderately good and being able to respond well in higher difficulty battles that match our individual growth.
Not a race between how fast I can spam War Drums and how fast can enemies spam full legions.
In earlier games, challenging Challenges forced us to face large hordes with some spamming capability and/or restrictive gen limits. I don't necessarily enjoy them, but as long as they can reasonably overcome with "internal" mechanisms (IE. no spamming the separate healing items, if I use it at all) and some skill, it's tolerable.
Although I am against using such items, I do use them. I spammed them in SNS (EW4) and some of the hardest endgame campaigns, but at this point, there wasn't much room left to grow except for getting Victoria and maxing out all stars on everyone else. Therefore, there wouldn't be any use of strength from a more advanced level because there was only so much room left.

No IBC or mamluks, but I'm amazed anyway. Before this, I got only 6 high tier enlistments in a draw, once:
